Hello from NorCal

New here to the Acura family. My name is Jake, I love my imports. Long story short, I totaled my FRS on Halloween. Miss that thing

I was planning on buying a 2023 model GR86 to replace her, but colors and manual transmissions were limited. I continued searching and stumbled on this gem. I decided to go with a more practical car that was more comfortable since it would be mostly a commuter. Picked her up right away and already got bit by the mod bug lol! Picked up in January my 2019 Acura ILX A-Spec. Currently I have a Full race catback installed, and weathertech formats, and rain guards. Rims and new tires come in 2 weeks, and BC coilovers coming in end of the month.

Welcome to Acurazine. I've never played Final Fantasy VIII. My first FF game was X, so that's the one that holds a special place in my heart.

The FT86... Back when they were first released in 2012, I lusted after them, despite having a 2004 STi. What other cars have you had prior to the FR-S?

From an FR layout to an FF layout. How would you describe the experience of making that transition? How does the power to weight ratio feel in the ILX compared to the FR-S?

it definitely feels much different. Handling wise, the FRS was MUCH more fun, and I felt more comfortable throwing it around than the much heavier ILX. A lot of that has to also do with the steering. I don’t get as much response and feed back from the ILX. The turn radius is terrible. Comfort wise, the ILX is SO much better, and I don’t feel like I’m gonna die while driving in the rain. Though my FRS was much more modified.

thank you and I’m glad to be here. Never been a Honda/Acura guy, but I am enjoying the experience this far.
