Hello from NC
~
Greetings from North Carolina!
To start, thank you for adding me. I'm not an 'Acura Guy'. I needed a everyday driver & this 2014 Kona Coffee Metallic RDX Base (I named it "KC"),103,000 miles, was on the lot at what I believed was a fair price. I drove it, liked it & bought it. This being my first Acura I'm absorbing information at a rapid pace. I'm also ordering mats, mud guards, plate frames, litter container.......The cargo cover for this car has been a beast. My tailgate isn't automatic. Finding and getting delivery of a beige/brownish cargo cover for a manual tailgate is proving difficult. I'm currently driving around with a cover made for electric but not able to attach it. The seller is sending another from China...eventually.
I have a lot of questions and observances about the RDX I will get to. I've had it almost 3 weeks and I love driving it!
Thanks again and I look forward to our conversations,
Benny

Welcome to Acurazine. Were you considering any other models before committing to the RDX? What other cars have you had in the past?

Thank you! I have been a Toyota customer since I worked for Toyota 25 years ago. We have a 2014 Venza for 5 years. I have driven trucks as my driver and towing our camper for almost 20 years. My last cars were Toyota Supra & MR2. I was also in the British Cars Club with my MGB. I was looking for a less clunky driver than my F-250 Diesel. A good friend that still works at the same Toyota dealer, was looking for me a DD. He sent me a picture of this RDX 4pm on Thursday and I bought it Fryday 9:30am. I had barely ridden in a Acura much less owned one. One couple that drove it on Thursday came back after "sleeping on it" while I was signing papers. Two others came by to see it before we were through. It is so well cared for by the previous owner. Not even acid rain, kept inside.
I wish it was not a basic trim level. I think I would enjoy the tech upgrades. This is a great entry level Acura, as I see it. There are some things I miss from the Venza, my wife still drives.
So far I'm enjoying my venture into Acura! ( I want to research how much "judder" I should expect, but I will open a proper thread later) I'm still driving on the temporary tag so I haven't put a lot of miles behind the wheel yet.
