2013 MDX Road Noise
 

Hi: New user here. We bought a pre owned 2013 MDX about 18 months ago. Low miles, excellent condition. It was wearing Michelins that at 30K were too worn to drive to New England in the winter. I bought and put on 4 new Continental Extreme Contact 3's and was initially very pleased. HOWEVER after 5 or 6 K miles the tires began to sing on every road surface and on the rougher ones (Tar & gravel style popular here in South Carolina) it is difficult to converse with someone in the car even at 30 MPH and up. Has anyone else had any experience like this with the 2nd gen MDX?
BTW I feel that it is GREAT car (SUV?) I sold an 08 Porsche Cayenne S shortly after we bought the MDX because we didn't need 2 SUV's and the MDX has the 7 passenger capacity the Porsche didn't. My wife is the primary driver, but we travel from SC to New England to visit family three or four times annually and I really don't miss the Cayenne.
Any input on road noise will be appreciated. I'm hoping this is an issue with the brand tire I bought and not the car. If it is the car any suggestions as to how to reduce the tire / road noise will be greatly appreciated
