im new here ans have no clue how to navigate this forum, lol but I just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 2001 Acura TL I just had my transmission swapped for a 2006 Acura my car has 111,000 miles on it and she is a beast she’s in pristine shape, and I just wanted to share that with everyone.
Now that I’ve gotten the transmission replaced I love my car and hopefully this new transmission lasts a few years

thanks for the question, I’ve had a lot of cars over my life, most of them have been horrible to me. I had two Ford Taurus is a Kia optima couple sh** boxes.
I always take care of my cars I love to drive I’m constantly putting money into them till about five or six years ago I bought a really nice 2010 Toyota Camry, it was a one owner only 50,000 miles on it. I took the hubcaps of painted them black. I put rain guards on LED lights. It was so beautiful people would complement it!. It looks like a rental inside… unfortunately, someone T-bone me and totaled it.
So I only had a couple thousand in the bank at the time and I bought this Acura from another state. Honestly, I only paid 2300 for it and I looked it up and some little old lady owned it. It’s been serviced at Acura most of its life. I kind of knew the transmission was gonna go at some point, but I babies the entire time it was still drivable by the time I got it replaced last week
It’s in super condition. It feels a little weird now that I got the transmission replaced. The steering feels a little tighter. Oh my cruise control doesn’t work and there’s a little gap where the hood meets the bumper but my mechanic wants me to go back in a couple weeks so he can check the computer and check the fluid and just make sure everything’s OK so hopefully he can fix that when I go back.
It’s a really fast car. Soundsystem is incredible. There’s no leaks no dents no noise I like it. I hope it lasts a while since I just paid to get the transmission replaced. I’m a single mom of a three year old and we live in the city so we definitely need a car to be able to get out of here once in a while.
The only thing I don’t like is the rims they’re like peeling or something they look horrible absolutely horrible. I don’t know what to do with them. I don’t really have money to replace all of them and I don’t know if I should dress spray them spray paint them or something I don’t know.
I’ve spent so many hours on these forms reading about the transmission problems in the accurize, and I’m happy to be a part of the gang

oh no, I hope it’s fixed soon. How many miles do you have on it? Is this your 1st swap? Does that just mean that you’re swapping out the transmission like I did? I’m not used to all the lingo. Lol
No lol not my first swap, I swapped an Ls6 into a Datsun 240z, got all the Acura parts from pick your part, pulled em my self saved lots of cash I spent about $1100 on everything, I don’t know all the “lingo” either that’s the hard part learning the swap language lmao
