Local Boston custom shops/services Thread
Hey Bostonians whats up!
I dont know about you guys but i am in need of preferred and recommended places and shops to get all sorts of work done on my car so i decided why not start a thread so we can all share that knowledge. Instead of starting many threads asking where we can get this and that done at i thought it would be great if we can all just post on this here thread
So heres all the places that i have heard of on this forum or another about getting some things done to our cars that we dont want to do ourselves.
Tints: there are many places people can go to for this but alot of people mentioned Tint King in Billerica, MA
http://tint-king.com/
Decals and graphics : I have read someone posted on this forum mention this and looking at it, it seems like a good place to go to get vinyl installed and such. D&G graphics in Fitchburg,MA
http://www.dgautographics.com/
Wheel repair/powder coating: My friend had a business card from this place and looking at the site seems like a reliable place to go and they also do powder coating!. Wheel Repair Specialist in Newbury St of Boston
http://www.wheel-repair-specialist.com/
For remote starters: i had my remote start installed at this place and they gave me a decent price and were very friendly with service. (They do audio and also do tints here and they are machine precision cut so it depends how you feel about that). Auto Tuners in Malden, MA
http://auto-tuners.com/
Sound / Audio: i saw this on someones sig and it seems they work on some reputable cars so i assume this is a good place to go. Wicked Cas (lol at the boston accent) in Kingston, NH
http://www.wickedcas.com/home.php
Headlights: Hes local and Hes good, Hes non other than JNC. Very professional and knowledgable, just PM his for all your headlight inquiries.
Aftermarket Auto parts: i havent bought anything but i have been to this store and i must say the new volk g2 (i believe they are called that) are sexy in person. I think they can order most parts for you. and carry some universal stuff that you can get instead of having them shipped to you( work/volk lug nuts, oil caps, etc). I dont know of too many shops local that carry aftermarket things but this one carries a variety of products and of good brands.) ProSpec in Quincy, MA
http://www.prospecautosport.com/

Here are my recommendations:
Window Tint: I recommend Solar Solutions in Bedford, MA. The tint is computer cut, has a lifetime warranty on both tint and labor. Prices are much lower than Tint king. They also do front body protective films too, at a very good price
Audio/Video: I recommend Wicked CAS in Kingston, NH. Nazar (owner) is very friendly, and they know what they are doing. Great prices on amp/sub/enclosures also. Tell him Vinay from Boston sent you, he'll give you a deal. Whether you are just buying the products, or you are getting them installed there, these guys take very good care of you and your wallet!

Remote Start: I also got two remote start/DroneMobile systems done at Wicked CAS in Kingston, NH. The guys there are very knowledgeable electronically, and are very friendly. Again, mention that Vinay from Boston sent you, and he will take good care of you.

HIDs: I have been doing HIDs as a hobby for the past 2 years, and am well versed in the Acura TL considering I have done it quite a few times. I can do independent fogs, etc.
Headlight Modifications: Obviously our own JnC, in Bedford, MA.
Detail service: Absolute Auto Detail in Waltham, MA. The cars that come out of this little place are INCREDIBLE! He makes cars from the 90's look like they are brand new. Hand wash, towel dry, wax, polish, etc. Price is low for the type of work that he does.

If you're looking for paintless dent removal, i recommend Driven Perfection located in Weymouth, MA. The owner Alex is very friendly. They did a great job on the dent that I had on my driver side door. They also do detailing, tinting, etc. They do some very high end cars!!

ionojimbo- it typically costs about 180 + $40 --> the cost of "moleskin" --which we need to have installed on our cars to prevent the window seal from scratching the tint. However, if you want to get yours done, let me know and I will get it for you for $200 altogether. Also helps lower cost if you have a buddy who also wants to get tinted.
Tint King wanted $260 for tinting, plus $50 for moleskin installed in the window seals.

I Had over 10 cars that went when i did it last summer. My TL had it done for $180 PLUS Moleskin at Solar Solutions. All others are around 150-160. And i brought 2 more cars in for around 150 as well. Hit me up if you want. I can work up a deal again with them.
