This has to go down real well w/ Ron Dennis:
INJURED MONTOYA COULD MISS BAHRAIN
Last Updated: Sunday, 27, March, 2005, 17:39
Juan Pablo Montoya may miss the Bahrain Grand Prix after injuring his shoulder during training.
The Colombian slipped and fell while playing tennis on Saturday.
McLaren told Autosport-Atlas that Montoya sustained a hairline fracture and some tissue damage on his left shoulder.
Test driver Pedro de la Rosa will be promoted to the McLaren race team for Bahrain if Montoya is not fit enough to drive.
“We will make a final decision on Thursday,” a McLaren spokeswoman said.
The team is now working flat-out to modify a chassis so that Alex Wurz can perform de la Rosa’s usual third driver role in Bahrain if required.
Wurz is too tall to fit in the present MP4-20 so de la Rosa has been conducting extra testing in his place.
If Montoya does have to sit out next weekend’s race it will be a blow to his championship aspirations.
He is currently equal third in the standings, eight points behind leader Fernando Alonso.

Didn't Damon Hill have a clause in his contract not to ride motorcycle while driving for Williams? Maybe McLaren will have a clause in its driver contract not to play tennis, ski, lift weights, swim, or walk across the street in the future.
yeah, you're right F-C, those kinds of things are in contracts all the time. The Kimster's should say no tit bars, fighting and carousing! I re-read the JPM article and it sez he hurt himself while "training." Maybe that's what saves him from the wrath of Ron.

Hell, we had rules like that when we played HS sports.
