Seems like a mish-mash of past success and future promise. Regardless, I don't think Danica should come even remotely close to being on this list. I'd put someone like Allmendinger in there in a heartbeat before her.

They also seemed to completely ignore sportscar drivers although I can't really think of to many highly successful American drivers that are still active.

Isn't Allmendinger a NASCAR driver now? That's probably why he isn't on here.

Danica Patrick? That automatically invalidates this list. The sad thing is, there really aren't any top American drivers right now. Ryan Hunter-Reay could arguably be the best driver in America, but he doesn't even have a real ride.
