It would be interesting to see which of the contracted drivers Honda had to pay to get rid of. Also, I doubt that FA is going to head over to Honda with the abysmal year they just had, I think the best finish for the team was 6th or something. FA wants to win races and championships, you can't do that driving a 3rd string car.

Honda could use him IMO. And he's still young enough to wait for the team to improve, which its almost a certainty with Brawn on board.

Too bad the rumors look false.

Its more likely that Michael Schumacher will come back and join Kimi and Felipe at Ferrari than Alonso will go to Honda. Jacques and Jensen have already ruined their careers by joining Honda, and Rubens is near to the end of his career.

FA is either going to Renault or he is going to take a year off and come back to a top team for 2009, like BMW.

How the might have fallen? I do think that Brawn and FA would make a good pair.

Best finish was in China (5th), second best was Italy I think (maybe 8th) otherwise pretty consistent 10-14th.

Not a Honda fan but would love to see what Ross and Fred could do, though I don't think they can recreate the Ross/Michael magic plus Fred won't stay there any longer than it takes to get a better ride.

Yeah, I have heard that is the sticking point with every team he has talked to, he wants a one year deal so he can go to a top tier team (Ferrari/BMW) for '09, but they all want multi-year deals.

Like DC said, he shld take a year's sabbatical. It's not like he doesn't have enough $$$ to hold him over.
