Motorsports Book Suggestions?
Any suggestions for some good motorsport books?
|
What series? Historical or modern?
|
F1, Endurance (WEC/LeMans/etc), WRC/Rally. Historic or modern, non-fiction.
Not overly picky, but not too into Nascar/Indy. |
To be honest, I can't think of anything besides the Autocourse annuals. Because of its niche status, motosports books are a big casualty of the decline in book stores. I remember being able to browse all the coolest new books in my local Borders back in the day, but no more. I just looked up a favorite publisher, David Bull, but they no longer exist.

Finished The Mechanic's Tale. A well written book & enjoyed it cover to cover.
My wife also got me Senna Versus Prost by Malcolm Folley. Will have to decide between that & J Stewart to read next. |
Faster by Neal Bascomb

I haven't bought one since the Schumacher years! They used to be sold at Borders and B&N, so I usually got them there. Then all of a sudden they stopped selling them in bookstores so I stopped buying them.
|
They were purchased for me yearly for Xmas by my wife but we ceased gift giving years ago so no more additions.

Thx for the generosity, Legend! That'd be great. I prefer reading paper-bound books, but being able to preview it before buying would be nice. No huge rush, though, as I already have a towering stack of "titles to read" on my nightstand!!
Btw, this summer I was able to read Stealth (which you had recommended) and liked it very much. So thanks for that recommendation, too! |
