Le Mans was a crazy race.

Harley Davidson bagger racing is coming to Moto GP. You can watch the King of the Baggers racing on MotoAmerica's YouTube channel. Former Moto GP riders, Bradley Smith and Loris Baz, race in the series.

I saw a couple of those bagger races a couple years ago, pretty amusing.

I have been following MotoGP, sidecars, SBK, AMA, etc. since around 1990, and I have never heard of bagger racing. I'm confused.

Fox Sports They only uploaded the sprint race, and forgot about the GP.

And what about Jorge Martin leaving Aprillia?!

King of the Baggers.
It's big touring v-twin style bikes, modded for track racing.

That is a shame. It was a crazy race due to the weather. 2025 Le Mans MotoGP Race Result: Wet, Wild, Loud And Sentimental | MotoMatters.com | Kropotkin Thinks'

Jorge Martin wanting to leave Aprilia was a surprise. It the rumors are true, then HRC are considering Toprak Razgatioglu from WSBK, and Pedro Acosta if he decides to leave KTM. I guess maybe Martin is another option, but I find it difficult to believe that HRC would consider Martin until he comes back from injury and demonstrates that he healthy and fit to ride. Supposedly, Martin and/or his manager met with HRC last weekend.

Razgatioglu is a very good rider, but he will be 30 years old next year. His experience with Pirelli tires could help once Pirelli becomes the official tire supplier in 2027.

I wonder whether Yamaha would be tempted to pursue Martin. I am sure Pramac would love to have him back, but that would be a step down from a factory team.

Both Marquez brothers were lucky for that restart. Such bad luck forb Quartararo with the failure of his HSD. Zarco looked very competitive on his RC213V.

MM had for years gotten incredibly lucky. Then his luck ran out with crashes and injuries. Looks like maybe his luck is coming back to him. He crashes out, but somehow extends his lead in the championship.

This is the worst race for Ducati in ages. Competitive bikes with Yamaha, Aprillia, and Honda?!?! Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Yikes, sounds bad. Nakagami and/or Espargaro may be replacing Marini for a while.

Honda MotoGP rider Luca Marini injured in ‘heavy’ Suzuka test crash | Crash.net

Having completed a successful first day, the Italian began the second day of his program but crashed heavily. Suffering from a dislocated left hip, damage to the ligaments in his left knee, fractures in the sternum and left collarbone, and a right-sided pneumothorax, Marini was transferred to local hospital and stabilized.

The news is finally official: Toprak Razgatlioglu will be a MotoGP rider in 2026! The double WorldSBK champion has signed a contract with Yamaha as the Turk gets set to race in Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP colours from next season.

The breaking news falls just after the Aragon GP and ahead of the next round of WorldSBK action in Misano, and on the same day as his 2025 title rival, Nicolo Bulega, penned a deal to become a Ducati MotoGP Test Rider in 2026 too.

Razgatlioglu, who won the WorldSBK title in 2021 with Yamaha, has previously tested the YZR-M1 back in 2023, first in a weather-affected Aragon private test before the Turk spun plenty of laps in Jerez. However, that eagerly anticipated MotoGP switch for one of motorcycle racing's true superstars never came - until now.

Paolo Pavesio, Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director: “We are thrilled to welcome Toprak back into the Yamaha family. Toprak, the most victorious Yamaha rider of all time in Superbike, has proven to be an exceptional talent, securing the WorldSBK Title twice, which is no mean feat.

“His transition to MotoGP is both a 'homecoming' and an exciting new challenge that's been set up with the clear goal of progressive growth over time. His fighting spirit and determination are a perfect fit for both the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team and Yamaha's bold MotoGP strategy, so we believe 2026 is the right time to make the move that many fans have been waiting for.”

Marc Marquez: The MotoGP champion who came back from hell

MM93 2025 MotoGP champ it's good to see him back again as MWC, probably has another 2-3 in him depending on bike and how healthy he stays.

Man that was an emotional race...

Between him and Pecco's smoking Ducati, it was epic.

This was the one race I didn't want Marc to win for Pecco lol, glad he got that monkey off his back.

https://www.motorsport.com/moto3/new...2028/10768205/

Yamaha has been chosen by Dorna as the exclusive manufacturer for the Moto3 grid starting in 2028, coinciding with the introduction of new 700cc engines, Motorsport.com has learned.

The championship's rightsholder has long been working on a plan to shake up the smallest category in the grand prix paddock, with the clear goal of cutting costs for teams — many of which are struggling to afford ever-lengthening seasons. That’s the driving force behind the ongoing Moto3 overhaul, which will culminate in 2027 with the end of the current prototype era and the arrival of a new generation of machines designed to be significantly simpler the following year

At present, Moto3 bikes use 250cc single-cylinder engines supplied by KTM or Honda, capped at €60,000 for six units under current regulations. Chassis are limited to €85,000. Those figures are considered excessive, and the simplified technical concept behind the new bikes is expected to reduce costs substantially.

Although several manufacturers submitted proposals to become the single supplier, Motorsport.com understands that Dorna has opted for Yamaha’s project, and has already informed the other contenders. The agreement is considered firm and is expected to be formalised in the coming weeks.

Broadly speaking, the plan revolves around a new 700cc twin-cylinder engine, derived from the R7 powerplant but featuring specific modifications for the championship. Motorsport.com also understands that Yamaha will supply the chassis, which should help further contain overall costs. The approach mirrors Moto2’s single-supplier model, where Triumph has provided 765cc triple engines - based on the Street Triple - since 2019, and will continue to do so until 2029.

Yamaha’s proposal aims to lower budgets on two fronts: by using less expensive components and, naturally, by eliminating manufacturer competition - which removes the need for constant investment to gain an advantage.

Still, the dramatic jump in displacement for the smallest class is striking, as it will significantly narrow the performance gap between Moto3 and Moto2. One possible interpretation is that Dorna hopes the change will attract more American riders, who tend to be more accustomed to larger-capacity motorcycles.

Once this decision is made official, it will mark the end of the Moto3 era as we know it - a chapter that began in 2012 when the class replaced the popular 125cc two-strokes.

The new ruleset, coming into effect in 2028, will follow another major shake-up: MotoGP’s 2027 technical reform, centred on reducing aerodynamic aids and cutting engine capacity from the current 1000cc to 850cc. As a result, the displacement gap between Moto3 and MotoGP will shrink to just 150cc - even if the budgets and levels of development remain worlds apart.

I expected Marc to win the title but not dominate like he did. I did not expect Bagnaia to perform as poorly as he did. Bagnaia hinted a couple of times that GP25 was a step in the wrong direction and that Marc's riding abilities were overcoming the issues. It will be interesting to see how the GP26 turns out and whether Alex will be as strong when he is on the same bike as Bagnaia and Marc next season.

This season was a chance for the VR46 academy riders like Bagnaia, Bezzecchi, and Marini to see Marc return to "factory settings". It was nice that they avoided the ongoing Rossi feud and treated Marc like any other rider.

Looking forward to the first race next weekend.

If the rumors are true, then the 2027 grid may include major changes.

Pedro Acosta to parter with Marc on the factory Ducati team
Bagnaia to move to the factory Aprilia team
Quartararo to move to the factory Honda team
Martin to move to the factory Yamaha team
Alex Marquez could move to the factory KTM team

Curious with the last season of Michelin and 1l engines if there will be much development on tires and engines.

Phillip Island out in 2026. Adelaide in.

FOX Sports Australia reports that a prominent figure with knowledge about the negotiations between MotoGP and the Government of South Australia has claimed that talks are ongoing over the feasibility of the Australian GP being a night race to better suit European audiences.FOX Sports Australia reports that a prominent figure with knowledge about the negotiations between MotoGP and the Government of South Australia has claimed that talks are ongoing over the feasibility of the Australian GP being a night race to better suit European audiences.

Very sad as Phillip Island is one of the best tracks in MotoGP. With Liberty coming in, this was inevitable. Expect more street tracks like Miami and Vegas coming in, and the disappearance of rural circuits.

Sad indeed. It will be interesting to see how they plan to make a street track safe enough for Moto GP.

Easy, they'll use their B-spec bikes for the street circuits.

That was unexpected. Fox Sports resurrected the Speed Channel name and is running the race on Youtube.

The previous Youtube was running on a constant loop, and you couldn't rewind to the start. They just posted a new video where you can control the play.

Bezzecchi looks like the real deal after two races.
Marquez is doing well in the sprints, but struggles in the race. Maybe he is still struggling from his surgery recovery.

Definitely. During the first race weekend in Thailand, Marquez said that he had yet to determine his new "100%" after last season's shoulder injury and surgery. The track conditions in Brazil were poor and likely contributed to his issues.

Don't forget, Baggers will be racing this weekend at COTA. I wonder if Liberty Media will keep that class for long or get rid of it sooner rather than later.
