Max Mosley says Hamilton 'may be negative for F1'

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/moto...ne/7070564.stm

"It will start to be negative because we'll get the Schumacher effect where people start writing to me saying can't you do something to slow him down."

Mosley added that Hamilton's role in revitalising F1 had been exaggerated.

Mosley added that it was "very unlikely" that Hamilton would be installed as champion following a hearing next month into the results of the season-closing Brazilian Grand Prix.

"That said, it's very unlikely, because even if they excluded those cars they are not obliged to reclassify Hamilton. There's absolutely no need, if they don't wish to, to change the position that Hamilton was in."

He needs to shut up. It's not the FIA president's role to be king maker.

Who cares,.....the interviewer probably asked those questions of him. If he is being honest I dont have a problem with what he says.

If anyone is fuckin' up the FIA it's Max. Ever since I started watching F1 nearly 40 years ago, there has been no one driver who has had a season like rookie Hamilton's this year. I am not a Lew fan but you cannot take from him, the great skills he does possess. Everyone going into the season, surely thought it was going to be a Kimi/FA fight for the title-instead there was a 4 way battle up till Monza, a 3 way from there on out. How can the effect of Lew's entry into F1 not be extolled??

Geez, and I always thought no-one could be a bigger ego-centric buffoon than Jean-Marie Balestre.

I was wrong. So wrong.......

x1000 ^^^^ JMB refused to penalize Senna after he purposely took out Prost in Suzuka. I hated that guy . . . .

I hate to say this, but whoever got a seat in McLaren this season will go straight to challenge the world title, because McLaren is undoubtably the best F1 car this season. Hamilton is just one lucky guy who happens to be there at the right time.
