I'm usually not one to post crash videos, but considering the outcome of this one it's pretty f'ing amazing. Unbelieveable how a well desingned race car can protect its driver. Total injuries: a bruised knee.

In other good Champcar news, Cristiano da Matta walked out of the hospital in Wisconsin under his own power on Sunday to fly home to Florida to continue his rehab.

When I saw the accident live, I seriously feared the worst. Good thing everything turned out alright.

But this also highlights how relatively unsafe the tracks are in the US. If this was an F-1 standard circuit, there would be a huge runoff to prevent such an impact.

Ive seen many people crash in that area.(i almost did myself) RA is the best track in the US. too bad we couldnt get F1 there.
