Jaguar XKR GT3...

We didn't think the Jag's stunning XKR could get any better when they bolted on the supercharger.
But we were wrong. It doesn't happen often, but we were.
This gorgeous muscle-bound beast is the racing version of the XKR, and we reckon it might even trump its forefather in the looks department.
It's intended for GT3 racing, so that means coming up against the latest Porsche 911 GT3. Jaguar ain't phased by this as they have race experts Apex Motorsport developing the car.
Apex boss Richard Lloyd says the XKR's chassis is already plenty stiff enough, and that's before they add the roll cage.
First tests of the best looking race car in recent memory begin in December and Apex are talking to a number of teams interested in running an XKR GT3 in the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2007.

From Leftlanenews...
Apex Motorsport and Jaguar today revealed the XKR GT3 at the Autosport International Show in Britain. The Jaguar XKR GT3, featuring a 4.2 litre V8 supercharged engine, retains the aluminium body of its production cousin, but has had modifications made in line with the regulations.
The first car to be built by Apex Motorsport has already been sold to Stuart Scott, Managing Director of East Anglia’s most successful travel management company, Cambridge Business Travel. Scott, who has most recently been racing in the British GT Cup, will be driving the Jaguar in a program of six events with a yet-to-be-named co-driver.
