Hey Astro, what happened to the Swerve?
Too much temp change for the Jag boys to get their car's oversteer under control cost them a ton of positions. OTOH, JV=7th!! Unbelievable. Hope you and Soopa are having fun. Jag stays at the Sheraton downtown, saw Eddie and Johnny Herbert there the first year. Murray Walker too. the McLaren party was in that thing that straddles an intersection downtown ("Garden Place or something like that). Go down there tonight and hang around in the lobby, you're sure to see some celebs!!
Enjoy for me!

was AWESOME! too bad for jaguar... really upset me.
weve learned alot about how the different cars are setup just from the pictures.
judging just from brake glow and when their spinning... i think alot of jaguars handling problems could be brake balance.
they keep spinning into corners... and in the pics their one of the few teams with BRIGHT glow on the front... and cold in the back.
ferarri on the other hand... is all glow in back and minimal in front.
heavy front braking with none in back is DEFINATELY going to spin you.
but hey... thats just my theory.

Of course, some cars by their very design are prone to either understeeer or oversteer. Jag has been prone to the latter hence rear end coming around. Also, they have to flatten the rear element of the spoiler to achieve as much straight line speed as possible to prevent from getting passed into turn 1. OTOH, they have to have enough rear downforce to make the rear end stick. Jag did not do that. An even larger problem is tires. You'd think tire performance wld be consistent, but that cld not be farther from the truth. Jag and other Michelin users mostly, have found their tires' performance go off for about 2-6 laps after they are approx 5-7 laps in--smack in the middle of stint 1 of a 2 stop race. Fawked. Braking as you described may cause spins, but I'd be willing to bet the f/rear bias was at least 43% to the rear.
