Frentzen in the Sauber for USGP
It's been confirmed that HHF will be in the 2nd Sauber for the USGP. Massa was handed a ten place penalty for dangerous driving as a result of his crash at Monza. I forgot who he took out in the mess but Sauber being in a points race obviously, couldn't chance losing ten spots on the grid b/c of sheer stupidity. Fawk, I still can't believe I WON'T BE THERE!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if Irv the Swerve doesn't do real well. The Cosworth engine is great and I think Eddie finished 5th last year. It would be nice to see them do well, especially in front of their FoMoCo board members' scrutineering eyes.

if it's not Kimi, I would love to see Irvine place well, on the podium again would be incredible!
nice to see them finally getting things together after years of dissapointment...

Irvine blames the lack of progress this year at Jag squarely on the shoulders of Pedro de LaRosa! There's a story circulating that sez Irv believes b/c Pedro did most of the testing and his evaluation of the car led the engineers down the wrong path. It was only Irv kept telling the engineers they needed more mechanical grip that the car finally started coming right. I like Irv but sometimes that guy has just got to keep his mouth shut! My first memory of him is at Suzuka when he got in Senna's way down the long straight towards the R130 turn. Senna passed him, Irv passed him back, then Senna passed him again. After the race, Senna punched him! Irv was a lap down and had no business making Senna's life hard but it was the measure of the man we were seeing and would see, for a long time after. That's why my wife likes him so much, his balls to the wall (a la Mansell) attitude and complete irreverence. She even named our cat Eddie after him!
