Would take some work to put him [VB/77] in a non-MB PU car, I'd think.
He's made available to all MB customers, not sure how you work that with a competitor.
Aston Martin have confirmed that Lance Stroll will be back behind the wheel at the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix weekend, following his withdrawal from the previous race in Spain.
The Silverstone-based squad announced a few hours after Qualifying at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya that Stroll would be sitting out Sunday's Grand Prix with the 26-year-old set to undergo a medical procedure after experiencing pain in his hand and wrist.
The team went on to say that Stroll's medical consultant believed the pain the driver was experiencing was "in relation to the procedure he underwent in 2023". Stroll sustained fractures and a broken toe after a cycling accident during the 2023 pre-season, which led to him undergoing surgery followed by a process of rehabilitation.
However, after his latest procedure, Stroll will be back driving the AMR25 in front of his home crowd in Montreal less than a fortnight on from that weekend in Spain.
“I am excited to get back behind the wheel with the team for my home Grand Prix this weekend," Stroll said. "I was always going to fight hard to be ready to race in front of the Montreal crowd.
"I’m feeling good after my procedure and put some laps in at Paul Ricard this week to prepare. Thanks for all the support, see you guys this weekend!”
Following the race weekend in Spain, Aston Martin’s Chief Trackside Officer, Mike Krack, had described Stroll being back in action for his home race as the team's "Plan A".
Should a "Plan B" be needed it would involve having the likes of reserve drivers Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne on standby, with both scheduled to take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend.
Please for the love of god, someone stop Danica Patrick from broadcasting her comments at F1 races. That look on Nico Rosberg's face while she was talking was precious about how Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is not technically challenging was cringeworthy.
Great for MB and Russell, can't believe all the front runners had FIVE tire changes. Nice to see Antonelli get his 1st podium. That groundhog Hamilton hit took out the three tunnel inlet strakes and some underfloor tunnel parts as well. What was Norris thinking with guessing the opening gap on the left of of Oscar? Also gotta love RBR protesting Russell/MB win

Lando That move was never going to happen. Good on him for admitting fault on it, though.
Glad I didn't have the Nico/Danica show.
I think the RBR protest was over the 'brake check' by GR trying to get some heat in the brakes/tires.
I think the protest was by RBR going on the offense in the post-race penalty phase.
If RBR didn't protest, then Mercedes would surely have protested Verstappen for passing under the safety car, thereby potentially giving Kimi a second place. But by RBR protesting first that Russell was brake checking, it put Mercedes on the defensive. Good strategy by RBR.
Pretty boring race-and I was there! TOO MANY FN PEOPLE FFS Taxis are not allowed to drop/pick up at the casino any longer so it's either walk, bike, metro or shuttle in/out from/to a remote site on a bus but not before waiting at least 1 hour or more to get on the damn bus going out. It was a 2 1/2 hour slog Saturday to get out of there, 2 hours yesterday. And another thing, the Podium Club has two levels on the third floor of a semi-permanent structure and if you're in the top-back level, you can hardly see the track necessitating standing up and squeezing in to a spot to see a small portion of the track. Grossly overpriced and I'd never do it again. You see more in the PLatine Stand next to it with no food/beverage/water taxi benefits but much preferred. The first pic is the Podium Club where I was-looks like you could see right? Wrong. It was too high up.
The Platine stand is to the left of this one as you face it and has excellent views of turns 1-2 and down the front straight partially.

Bummer about the seats, I was in the Senna club some years back. I used the provided bus transport to the casino Friday and Saturday, but Sunday was too crazy and metro was the way to go.
paddock access Friday was really cool as well. I have a lot of really close pics of drivers.
here is a pic for reference. I can also post some pics from the paddock so you can see what it looks like if you’re considering it for your next visit.
James Vowles has signed a new long-term contract as he continues on as Team Principal at Williams, meaning that he will remain at the head of the squad as they push to return to championship-winning glory.
Vowles joined the team ahead of the 2023 season from Mercedes, where he had acted as Motorsport Strategy Director for four years. He previously held key engineering and strategy roles at Mercedes, Brawn GP, Honda and BAR across 21 years in the sport.
Since then the Briton – who is only Williams’ third Team Principal in their 48-year history – has been focused on transforming the outfit as they look to make their way back to the front of the grid, following on from Dorilton Capital’s purchase of the team in 2020.
So far in 2025, Williams have enjoyed their strongest start to a season since 2016, with Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz regularly clinching points to give the Grove-based squad a current position of fifth in the Teams’ Championship.
Their points tally of 55 is more than the total points scored by the team across the previous three seasons combined.
“I am delighted to sign a new contract with Atlassian Williams Racing, which has felt like home from the moment I walked through the door,” said Vowles, whose exact length of contract extension hasn’t been revealed.
“This iconic team has already given me some incredible memories and we are all united in our ambition to build on our legacy and win World Championships again.
“Over the past two years we have focused on fixing the foundations, and now have a platform to go for glory in the years to come.”
Matthew Savage, Chairman of Williams and Dorilton Capital, added: “We are thrilled that James has signed a new contract with Atlassian Williams Racing and committed his future to completing the mission that we are on together.
“He has brought experience, energy and strategic leadership to the task of restoring Williams to the top step of the podium. We aren’t there yet but you can sense the momentum we are building at Grove and are excited about what lies ahead.”
^ Interesting how McLaren now has two different front suspension setups (including different control arms and pickup points) for Norris and Piastri. Last time I recall McLaren having two different suspension arms for their drivers was for Keke Rosberg and Alain Prost in 1986. Rosberg wanted a more lively rear end so the A arms were different from those used on Prost's car.
Watching Austrian GP Qualy, chuffed to see that Lego is a bridge sponsor at the Red Bull Ring.
Must be trying to cultivate the next generation of fans.
At Silverstone, looked like some of the marker boards approaching a corner were Lego blocks, I think at Stowe.
Can't tell from onboard, but the offboard shots as they are approaching, you can see the Lego studs on top.
