If Vettel scores 15 more points than Alonso, then the championship is clinched after the USGP.

So I had to watch the race on PVR since my local cable company wouldn't broadcast it live (ASS HOLES) and it was great! Congratulations America, you put on an awesome grand prix and built an awesome track.
I watched it on the Quebec sports channels where they're huge F1 fans (they do massive coverage of the Montreal Grand Prix every year) and they had nothing but praise for the track, the venue, the spectators, the race etc.
The track reminds me of Istanbul, anyone else see that? Very similar first and last corner, high-speed turns in-between. The red/blue stripes are a nice touch and the elevation changes are a very unique and nice signature. I hope the crowds come back next year too, it's sad how little coverage this thing seem to get in the US. I hear they filled 70,000 seats so that's good.

It was definitely one of the best races of the year. The track was much more racy than I expected after looking at the layout.

I think through the S's they need to have better cameras though. Only thing missing. Maybe have one of those hanging on a wire above the track. Cause all the shots there were so far away since there was the big run off.

ohh yea the helicopter was cool, and seeing him fly when the shots were from the side were cool haha.
But it wasnt all the time the helicopter was there. Its not really a big deal. Just a suggestion they should take up!

Anyone heard of any buyers for HRT? I heard on the speed coverage today they gave pink slips to all their employees except the ones at the track who will get theirs after the race

Great commentary from Gary Anderson on Ferrari and Red, their drivers and their respective cars. Couldn't agree more with him, Ferrari stood back too much after the mid-season and did not further develop their car like RB did.

then again, Ferrari didn't get caught illegally mapping engine programs or exhaust designs that were out of conformance like RBR forcing them to do a lot of re-thinking/design.

man this race was another example of whats been going on with hamilton this season
I wonder potentially how many points he would have and what the championship would be like if he had better luck.
I dont agree with the drive thru penalty though against nico. It was completely a racing accident

well that's what I thought too and apparently her family has revealed she died as a "result of her neurological injuries sustained in the crash." I just wonder what could take so long to manifest itself into a life-threatening or fatal condition? You'd think her doctors and the clinicians examining her would have been on the lookout for a clot or something. Either way it's too bad.

I think I read somewhere that she was suffering from migraines since the accident.
