I second everything Speed said!! Hopefully Mclaren comes out swinging after the break and can close down the gap in driver and constructor standings!

Lewis Hamilton says that being able to keep his race trophies will be a key point in his imminent contract talks with McLaren.
The Hungarian Grand Prix winner is expected to resolve his future over the summer break, with it now appearing almost certain that he will remain at the Woking-based team.
But speaking in the wake of his latest triumph, he has revealed that a 'push point' in the talks with be about trophies, with McLaren having historically always kept its drivers' winning silverware.
"Ron [Dennis] and the team have all the trophies in the cabinet and the drivers get replicas," Hamilton told the British media.
"In a lot of other teams, the drivers get their original trophies. As a racing driver, what you work for and what you want to take home are two things; one is your crash helmet and the other is your trophy. For me, they are priceless.
"I don't care if they don't give me a car [to keep], but those two things are what you put your blood and sweat into, and the team keep those at the moment. So whatever contract I'm having next, that is going to be a push point.
"I don't feel I have a tough decision to make. It is my career I'm talking about however - the last part of my [professional] life. It's the first time I've been in this position, so I guess it still remains an important decision."
McLaren has been aware of Hamilton's demands over the trophies for several weeks, and team principal Martin Whitmarsh told AUTOSPORT earlier this month that he was confident the matter would not get blown out of proportion.
"I've known Lewis a long time and I think we have a very good understanding on one another," he said. "I think there is a lot of mutual trust and respect - I hope and believe both ways. So I don't see that [the trophies] as a big issue. We will see."

That's a unusual request from Hamilton, I read about it earlier this year and usual it's about money, sponsor commitments, schedule, and sometimes a F1 car.

Where could Lewis go? The only viable teams with an open seat are Ferrari (never with FA already there); Williams (Senna sure to be axed); Lotus (if the Kimster goes to Ferrari) and maybe Mercedes if Schu doesn't get re-signed. I can't see any of those being a real possibility given Lewis' background with McLaren combined with the factory's great history, second only to Ferrari all over who gets to keep

^ I can only see Hamilton going to one of the three top tier-1 teams. With RB drivers signed, I can't see Ferrari either with Alonso, it's McLaren so get used to replica trophies.
McLaren are missing at least one race trophy, when Prost won the 1989 Italian Grand Prix he dropped trophy to the crowd (he had signed with Ferrari). The trophy was grabbed by many and it broke up. Dennis was furious with Prost.

I thought I remember hearing the Scuderia didn't keep its bargain with Schu and wouldn't let him keep his championship winning car ( which year)

Lotus to me, is a very realistic option for one year till Webber's contract extension runs out at RBR, esp. with Kimi going to Ferrari!

Gotta admit I was wrong about Kimi, he has performed pretty well this season considering he was gone two years.

I've always admired Kimi's fuck it attitude. like when he would get a msg from the pit wall that his MBZ engine was about to blow again- so nurse the engine. he would stomp the loud pedal
and blow it to smithereens in disgust.

Kimi didn't back off his pace as he was in 1st place, sure enough a fews laps before the end the suspension failed and he spun off right in the braking zone. Unfazed he got out of the car and calmly walked back to the pits.

The same thing happened to me, the downstairs clerk said I couldn't take pictures of the engine. I waited until he was busy with a customer then took a couple.

I know privacy is a big issue in F1 with engine design, but seeing as the engine is on public display (and has its innards covered up) I'm thinking the issue they have is making things "too touristy" for the high rollers.
They also have the Porsche Design store about a block away, but it was pretty dead in there.

When the McLaren advance team met with my brother about the Driver Swap at the Glen originally, they said the car would be tuned to play the National Anthem. Later that plan was scuppered as I was really looking forward to hearing that done live.

Massa, you suck. The end.
You clearly don't deserve another year in that car.
