Ferrari's nomenclature
If this year's F1 challenger is the 248 (2.4L/8 cyls) then how come last year's 3.5 V10 wasn't the 3510? Curious minds have nothing better to think about at the present

They're probably thinking that last year's car (F2005) was such a disaster, they needed a new car, new start, and so a new name.

Tha last time Ferrari changed engine configuration in 1996(from V12 to V10), the car was named the F310, for 3L and V10.

And the car Prost/Mansell drove was the 640 and 641--again making no sense in Ferrari speak as both were 3.5L V12's.
