Nice pics Knight, yeah, I just sent the track an email about all of this. Depending on their response, I'll either be first in line next season or buy a lawn chair and watch from the fence line on turn 11 for free next season.

btw.. where did you park? I found a decent location but I was able to scout even better areas next season. There were a lot more people attending Friday and Saturday than last year but it seemed like less people race day.

Looks like the final count for race day is ~115K? Down only about 5K from last year. Not bad. I didn't park this year. My friends and I caught the light rail downtown and shuttled from the convention center. Not bad. About $5 for an all day train pass and $5 for round trip shuttle. The people you meet on the train is worth the price of admission The line was long to get back on the bus after the race, but it went quick. They had a ton of buses rolling in and out, consistently. Again, I cheaped out this year b/c I wasn't going to go at first. Kind of a last minute thing.

BTW, lawn chairs are so much more comfortable than the bench seats. GA is not that bad. However, I think on going to turn 15 next year.

Turn 15 elbow is okay, but definitely not worth it. Turn 9 is where it's at. I'll post my pics and you'll see why.

Wow! Yeah, that is awesome! You might have just saved me a couple hundred bucks Did COTA add more stands there? I don't remember those many over there.

Oh, they also added premium seating to turn 2 this year. That's much better, now that there is actually a decent vantage point. We did turn 2 last year and it wasn't that great.

BTW, if you're into MotoGP, turn 7 is the place to be. It's GA for MotoGP.

Yeah, Turn 7 is nice, watched the first half of the vintage race from the fence.. That's why I like Turn 9 because you see Turn 6-12. They removed Turn 6/7 stands for F1 this year. Not sure if that's a permanent arrangement.
