ChampCar lives

Contrary to popular opinion (including mine, I thought they were toast), the CC season got off to a pretty good start at Vegas with a GREAT street course (very fast) and some decent early racing. Bad points were the low car count - 17, attrition and fueling issues. Looking forward to Long Beach.

I saw parts of the race. It was much better then I expected. The track layout was good, the DP-01 looked pretty nice, and the racing was exciting. However, the whole event had an old Indy Lights feel. Too many mediocre drivers and teams, spec car, small field, small crowd, amateur pit stops. The whole race felt kind of insignificant. ChampCar has a long way to go to get back to its glory days.

That being said... to Walker Racing.
