Canada back: confirmed.
The Canadian Grand Prix organisers have announced that they have resolved a dispute with Formula One Administration and expect their race to return to the world championship calendar in 2010.
The Montreal event was dropped from this year's schedule following a row between Bernie Ecclestone and the city's authorities over the fees the Formula 1 ringmaster demanded for holding the race.
But Canadian GP promoter Norman Legault announced today that agreement had been reached and he expects F1's return to Montreal to be confirmed shortly.
The race has already been listed with an early June date on provisional 2010 calendars circulated in the paddock

I haven't seen that part yet.
Edit: From the Montreal Gazette: Last year’s race was cancelled because of a dispute between Legault and Ecclestone, with the latter reportedly having said he was owed $12 million by GPF1 for the last three races in Montreal, ending with the 2008 event.
GPF1 spokesman Paul Wilson told The Gazette that no details of how the dispute was resolved would be made public because of “a confidential agreement” between Legault and Ecclestone.
“Let’s just put it this way, it’s to our very great satisfaction,” Wilson said. “That’s it. We’re not giving out details.”

Translation, due to the current slow down in the world's economy, Bernie is having a tougher time finding oil sheiks willing to shell out stupid amounts of money.

Which brings up an interesting question. Will US F1 ever test their car at Charlotte? Maybe share track testing days with NASCAB teams?

If I had to hazard a guess, I would think US F1 would truck down the road a bit to Road Atlanta or possibly Barber Motorsports Park outside of Birmingham. A fair amount of testing seems to be done there for both F1 cars as well as open wheel.

For both logistical and safety reasons I highly doubt they'd have both the oval and road course operational on the same day. Not to mention, the road course portion of Lowe's looks really short. I don't know how much meaningful testing a F1 team could get from it.

OR
CMP, about 1 hour south of Charlotte is a 2.3 mile full course ( http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com/trackmap.html )
Lowes? Doubtful in my mind.
Road Atlanta is also a good guess and about 3 hours SW of Charlotte.

Montreal race organizers have reportedly been given ten days to decide whether to host a Canadian Grand Prix next year.
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has only a provisional date on the 2010 calendar, and the Canadian publisher Sun Media said F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone is losing patience with the stalling talks.
"When I come back from Japan next week, I'm going to need final answers to all of our questions," the 78-year-old Briton said from Suzuka.
"If I don't have them, there won't be a Grand Prix in Montreal."
After the popular and important North American date was missing from this year's world championship,it was believed that a commercial dispute had been solved and that arms of government had stepped in to ensure a Canadian race for 2010.
Ecclestone revealed: "We're still trying to reach (an agreement).
"I'm no longer very confident. We have waited to have all of the answers. We can't wait much longer."

There has got to be some dirt that someone can dig up on E$$lestone to get him banned.
