After an acrimonious divorce from his wife of 24 years, Slavica, in whose name he’d entrusted virtually all his fabulous wealth, billionaire Bernie Ecclestone vowed he would ‘remain single for the rest of his life’.
But he has had a change of heart. For I can reveal he has proposed to the beautiful Brazilian lawyer Fabiana Flosi.
Trawlerman’s son Ecclestone, 82 in October, tells me: ‘We are officially engaged — and it is not going to be a long engagement either.

‘We are so happy and it’s just a case of when we get married, not if, though we haven’t fixed a time or place yet.’
Despite an age difference of 46 years, Bernie insists: ‘We get on enormously well.

We have been together for two years and what makes it work is that Fabiana has a really good sense of humour — and when you live with me you need to have a sense of humour.
‘Though I must say I am absolutely no trouble at home and I think she is lucky to have me.’
Bernie was introducing Fabiana as his fiancée at this week’s champagne launch at London’s Serpentine Gallery of Tom Bower’s explosive biography of his old pal Simon Cowell.
Guests included Cowell, retailer Sir Philip Green, former Grand Prix playboy Flavio Briatore and Aussie author Kathy Lette.
Fabiana was wearing an exquisite marquise cut diamond engagement ring, which I understand cost Formula 1 boss Ecclestone around £100,000.

He was in a playful mood. ‘I didn’t need to go down on one knee,’ the 5ft 3in tycoon quipped. While not quite as tall as his statuesque former wife, Fabiana is still around 5ft 10in.
The couple met in 2009 at the Brazilian Grand Prix where Fabiana was Formula 1’s vice-president of marketing.
They met again as guests on a friend’s yacht in Turkey and have been together ever since.
After they moved in together I told how the arrangement had not, at first, gone down well with his socialite daughters, Tamara and Petra.
Happily, that hiccup has been resolved, though I understand Ecclestone has not yet told the girls about his engagement.

The new gal isn't 24. He was married to his previous wife for 24-years.


The Brazilian Lawyer is 36, (82 - 46).

Uhhhh, OK, still young enough to be his grand-daughter.

wow reading is greater than me, i take back my earlier comment kinda 36 is still closer to 24 than his age i'm guessing lol
