Audi: CR-8 Creventic news...

Some info from Caradvice...
Our favourite Audi just got a little bit more special with performance team Creventic releasing this CR-8 edition just in time for Christmas.
Strictly a race spec vehicle, two CR-8s were prepared to compete in the Dubai 24 hour race early next year and will be available for ‘built-to-spec’ purchase to customers thereafter.
Improvements include a 90 litre fuel pod, carbon fibre body work, and race-spec sequential gearbox. The factory installed low-gear restrictor has been removed and an extra 10kW added to the engine, bringing the output to 318kW.
Although this is a modest increase, the weight savings gained from the carbon fibre re-work are sure to see a dramatic improvement in R8’s already outstanding performance, and if nothing else, you have to agree, it’s an awesome looking machine.

From Top Gear...
A last minute addition to Top Gear's Big Christmas Wish List (just below the power of invisibility and the immediate deportation of Ken Livingstone) in the shape of this: the Creventic CR-8.
A racing version of Audi's awesome R8 had to come along sooner or later, but we didn't think it'd look this good. In the power stakes, Creventic has been fairly conservative with the CR-8 - output is up by 13bhp to 427bhp while the factory-installed low-gear restrictor has been removed.
But there are a bunch of other racing enhancements to prepare the R8 for its racing shakedown in the Dubai 24 Hour, including a 90-litre fuel tank, extra carbon fibre and, best of all, a race-spec sequential gearbox.
Creventic says the first two CR-8s will be delivered in early 2008, with more to be built to customer specifications throughout the year.
Better be well behaved if you want Santa to bring you one next year.
