I wonder how old Scott Pruett is. He's been racing forever.

I missed the last 2 hours of the race. Fox Sports decided to switch channels from FS1 to FS2, DVR didn't follow.

No kidding, I think that every time I see him. I remember standing in a bathroom next to him in Toronto for the Molson Indy and he was driving then. Has to be at least 10-15 years ago.

EDIT: he's 55, born 3/24/60

I remember the 1995 Marlboro 500 when he drove the Patrick/Firestone car to victory. Firestone's first win in decades.

I can't remember what he was driving when I took a whiz next to him but I believe it was the race the Toyota driver was killed. I had to Google it and it was Jeff Krosnoff who died along with a course marshall. Horrific crash. I had a radio on and heard the course workers screaming "CODE BLUE CODE BLUE, possible death!" repeatedly. It was god awful.

That was the worst day in racing for me. :sad:

I've unfortunately, had a few too many of those F-C. We were at the Glen when J.D. McDuffie died; and, we were at Fontana when Gregg Moore died. That was a surreal weekend: Moore's trailer was parked next to my brother's in the infield and he refused to park his car (new S2000) in his drive parking it instead in my brother's spot; Michael asked him to move it and he said he "didn't feel like it." The next day (Saturday) our friend Mike was the floral caterer for all the teams' hospitality and he was driving his golf cart when Moore was on his scooter-the 2 collided and Moore broke his arm. Sunday we were on the pit roof in the Bud Hospitality suite on the start/finish line when Moore and 2 other drivers (don't remember who) went 3 wide into Turn 1. As they were doing it I distinctly remember looking at my wife and saying "this isn't good." It wasn't-Moore hit the wall and died. When they announced his death, I was one of the people holding up the sheet in the make shift media room as it was announced Moore had indeed died (it was the room the suite catering was using to take orders and my sister-in-law and another friend were in there so we went to check on them). When I saw Jackie Stewart in Montreal I asked him about his memories of the Glen and of course said "I'm sure it is not a very happy place for you" and he said "It was in some respects, and others, not at all." Of course that's where Cevert died in '73 and the last time Stewart raced in F1.
