Spice it up.
With 3 picks per driver, that still gives you 18 races worth from just the top 6, but can hurt you on a bad (Bottas) weekend.
Team picks, I'd agree, keep at 4, otherwise you'd be choosing from the bottom of the barrel at the end of a 20+ race season.

It would be cool to have a starting budget based on the betting odds, where the better teams/drivers are more expensive. Then we pick whoever we want without limits and it gets subtracted from our budget each week. Pick Lewis for half the season, and then you're stuck with Mazepin for the rest of the year.

That sounds like an interesting idea, but possibly difficult to manage.

I like the 3 driver, 4 team pick limit.

I think F-C likely has enough on his platter without working with team/driver budgets and quite frankly, we've been running this general scheme for a while. I wouldn't want to participate in the manner Tommy describes.

K.I.S.S.
For us, and for @F-C who graciously manages this circus.

This is a very interesting idea, i say.. do you know if there are other platforms that support this level of nuance? Was it you who suggested the official F1 fantasy league site/app as a potential future platform?

I believe the official F1 FL site/app has the budget setup. I looked into it a few years ago, then forgot about it.

The official F1 Fantasy league idea seems inttriguing but to be quite honest and don't put too much weight into my / first year partaking in the AZ F1 Fantasy League, but I sort of love the haphazard way that F-C has developed this league for Acurazine folks. I think it'd be a bit of a slap in the face to all of his hard work over the years to go somewhere else plus it keeps us engaged on this platform so our employers are likely happier

Agreed, I enjoy it here & I'm already here pretty much daily.
Adding a bunch of extra complexity would make it less fun, IMO.

Maybe for '22 we could look at adding in the Sprint & maybe fastest lap points, with a different pick limit criteria (once we see the official F1points regs for '22). But, that may add a bit too much extra.
