00TL has again closed in on fsstyms1! The two are only 3.5 points apart. And look, cu2wagon isn't too far off from the top! Are we headed for a grandstand finish as the season winds down?

00TL's bid for supremacy falters, resulting in fsttyms1 pulling away at the top with only 2 races left.

 

The only way I'm catching fsttyms is if he forgets to pick or gets skunked and I score more than him over the next 2 races. Don't think it's happening and that doesn't count nanxun who only 1 point back from me.

Mont Tremblant

Opening weekend and awesome snow. Perfect weather conditions. Not super busy because not a holiday weekend in Canada. It started raining right after I left, so lucky me.
Wife went crazy shopping in Montreal afterwards. So everyone was happy.

 

That's one place I've never skied but have wanted to. Supposed to be the coldest place around to ski in the middle of winter (and I thought Jay Peak and Whiteface was bad!)

 

Yeah. The locals told me it gets crazy cold in the middle of winter. That's why I wanted to go early. It's not the most challenging of mountains, but the atmosphere with the ski village is pretty awesome.

Heading to White Face end of the month.

 

Had a very memorable downhill race there in 1976-came in 3rd overall at Whiteface. We raced the same course they used for the 1980 women's Olympic downhill.

 

1k a week running around working, running home for kids school stuff, running back for work. In other words busy

 

And there you have it, fsttyms1 has won the world championship again! The first back-to-back champion since The Dougler accomplished that in 2009, when the records were, ahem, loosely kept.

fyttyms1's final margin of victory is 7.5 points, which is a smaller margin than his championship run in 2017. He therefore survived a disastrous final race, where the race officials are investigating reports of a pre-race system hacking.

 

I believe that makes me the McLaren-Renault of Azine.
