The only way I'm catching fsttyms is if he forgets to pick or gets skunked and I score more than him over the next 2 races. Don't think it's happening and that doesn't count nanxun who only 1 point back from me.

The table has been shaded to show who is mathematically out of the championship. However, with a 20+ point lead, fsttyms1 looks pretty comfortable going into the last race.

Opening weekend and awesome snow. Perfect weather conditions. Not super busy because not a holiday weekend in Canada. It started raining right after I left, so lucky me.
Wife went crazy shopping in Montreal afterwards. So everyone was happy.

That's one place I've never skied but have wanted to. Supposed to be the coldest place around to ski in the middle of winter (and I thought Jay Peak and Whiteface was bad!)

Had a very memorable downhill race there in 1976-came in 3rd overall at Whiteface. We raced the same course they used for the 1980 women's Olympic downhill.

And there you have it, fsttyms1 has won the world championship again! The first back-to-back champion since The Dougler accomplished that in 2009, when the records were, ahem, loosely kept.
fyttyms1's final margin of victory is 7.5 points, which is a smaller margin than his championship run in 2017. He therefore survived a disastrous final race, where the race officials are investigating reports of a pre-race system hacking.
