Just wait 'til he lays his 'drop the lowest race' smack-down on y'all.

Good point. If the season was to stop today, I would beat Chief by six points if we dropped the lowest scored race.

Which brings up a very good point that I never thought would happen: you get more of a "reward" for scoring 0 than I do for a 6.

I knew this would happen when we were debating this rule, but I think the rule works to prevent people from being demoralized when they forget to make a pick. I don't have any statistics, but looking at the table, it seems that this year the participation rate is very high. No one has dropped out of the league after missing races.

I didn't even think of this as a possibility result when we discussed the rule

No, I picked Schumacher-Mercedes for the first race and got a big goose egg. I don't think it's possible for the person running the league to forget to make a pick.

Neither did I, but I think it's OK.

Part of the intent (as I considered it) was as F-C pointed out - if you miss a pick, it's not in and of itself a 'penalty'.

The other part (again, as I saw it) was to bring the competition closer together. By 'rewarding' a zero more than a 6, it fills that expectation as well and does so without, I think, skewing the standings radically.

Mathematically Eliminated from Winning the Championship: TommySalami, StreetKA, fsttyms, stangg172004

F-C moves into a clear lead at the top. Followed by West and Chief.

It's a clear lead if you consider we were tied the previous race.

Damn, i was sure less people chose vettel/rbr to win the championship. Here i was thinking that wasn't the popular choice this year and i might be able to climb a few spots.

Alonso could still sneak through, not sure if anyone picked him but if that were to happen it would make an interesting conclusion to our championship.

The only person that picked Alonso is fsttyms, but I don't think it's going to do him any good.

Coming down to the wire, it's F-C, West, and Chief in the top three spots. Only 21 points separate them for the championship.

Well, Sao Paulo wasn't as scary as they say, but it's true about one thing, all the taxi drivers think they are Ayrton Senna at Monaco.

Anyway, the tables after Brazil:

F-C leads Chief by a thread.
