We have a new leader! Chief overtakes Dougler for the top spot. This is Chief's first lead since the first race.
Bearcat strikes back by jumping six places to take third place.

Despite scoring only 4 points each, Chief and Dougler are still at the top of the charts. Lots of movement mid table.

Did you see P1-P3 and Qualifying?? They have two more races before throwing in the towel and chasing 2012 with their efforts.

I don't see too much of a backlash against Button in the race. Did the FIA issue any explainations? It could be argued that he took out both Alonso and Hamilton. Sure, the wet race made it tricky, but he still knocked those two out by contact.

i dunno about doing the individual races, but your championship prediction doesnt count!
Either way, do you really think button is gonna come back and win it all?

That's a very bold or stupid prediction for the championship.

However, qualifying means squat on race day.
What does "throw in the towel" mean? Will they withdraw from all future 2011 races? Or are they stopping all development on the current chassis, and just putting what they have on the track for the rest of the season. Putting all of their engineering resources into developing next year's car. I wouldn't think Alonso would sit still for that.

Yes, hence why I picked Alonso/ Ferrari...

Ferrari will turn their attentions to next year's car and give up major development on this year's car if things don't turn around, the law of diminishing returns and all that I suspect. F1 teams do this every year and I highly doubt any driver, MS included when he was at his pinnacle, could instruct the factory what he wanted or didn't want done. Oh well, makes sense to me and let's hope the Scuderia get it right and SOON!!

F1 Fantasy League "Perfect Season"
Assuming you don't know the outcomes of the races and that you apply our F1 Fantasy League rules regards Driver and Team selection limits, I think the sheet below is the best possible score a single player could achive, YTD - a "Perfect Season", if you will.
Knowing the outcome of the races, you could optimize this for maximum possible points, but that wouldn't be in the spirit of how a player's selections are constrained.

Dougler opens a gap at the top. Second to fifth is only seperated by 3 points!
