Is your Credit Card company really working for you?
ok so nowadays everyone can get a Credit Card and here in North America 99% of the time they DO NOT CHECK your signature or whatsoever
even myself as a server i don't bother to check my customers signature, sometimes i do notice they didn't sign on the back but i just tell them to sign it back
to make long story short, i was order a set of Wilwood rotors and some brake pads that is located at Califronia. and i used my Master Card for my order and the bill is 750US
I have Visa, MC and AMEX and I don't use my MC at all most of the time, but it has the highest credit limit of all and the grace period is longer, so i went for MC instead of AMEX
i placed my order on the phone and asked them to ship it out quick coz i need to pick them up, and eventually he did shipped out on the same date and it arrived in Detroit in 4 days. wow that was quick!!!
but after i got my package a few days later my MC card called me and asked if i have purchased anything from the states.
i said yea, i bought some brake rotors from CA and he said yea they put a hold on my account since they suspected it was a fraud, and tried to contact me for the whole week to confirm. and they asked for my permission to let the transaction go thru.
a few days later i receive another letter in mail by the MC card and notify the same thing. um....not too bad~
anyone has such experiences with the Credit card company???

Still trolling
My Citi AAdvantage card is the same. They call me all the time to make sure things are ok. I used it in Dallas one day, flew to Chicago and used it again, and they called. Bought a LG 52" DLP at Best Buy last weekend, they called.

I have never been contacted by Citi in the 14 years I have had my card. And my purchases can be all over the map.

that can be good or annoying... if they realize your pattern and call for out of the ordinary, great
i got rid of a discover card because they called for everything, no matter what it was, they constantly called my cell, when they called me for a $2X.xx bill at a drug store i had enough

Similar thing happened to me on my Discover card.....
I hadn't used it in a long time, then I made a $30, and a $400, and a $250 purchase all in one day. They called me to make sure I was the one making the purchases, and all was well.

Discover and Citi made some automated calls to me in the past when they suspected fraud. Funny thing is that Citi called me when I bought $15 of stuff from Home Depot and some groceries. Talk about suspicious activity!!

Where is my super sauce?
All my cards do this for me.
I also warn them ahead of time when I travel abroad to give them a head's up -- they appreciate it and I appreciate that they'll watch for extraneous activity after the trip.
