Your Credit Card Company May Owe You Money

I posted a slightly different version of this in another thread, but it's likely to get lost.

If you made any international purchases using your Visa or MC card (depending on who it's through), you may be able to get back some of the "Foreign Transaction Fees" they charged. You have to go through all of your old statements to track down the info - or ask your CC company for the old statements - and submit a detailed list of all the transactions fees. It goes back all the way to 1998 though November 8, 2006.

The total settlement refund is limited to about $318,000,000, so your refund may be prorated based on how many people submit/how much money they request.

I don't have the exact figures with me, but those are pretty close.

Check your statements to see if you can get any money back - just don't take away from my refund.
Keep an eye on inserts in your CC statements for more info.

Remember, claims can take a VERY LONG time. SO don't be surprised if you don't see it any time soon. Just submit a claim and cross you fingers

Yeah, especially since you have until January of 2008 (IIRC) to submit the claims. I'm sure it won't be any faster than submitting a standard rebate form.

I do have all my statements in PDF. Those fees are outrageous.
