Vonage A Good Investment

Vonage is a voice over ip company where you can purchase long distance service for an inexpensive price.

Vonage works with any touch-tone phone, corded or cordless. You can speak through a computer too with a Vonage-enabled SoftPhone. Either way you can make calls to any phone on Earth. The person you're calling doesn't need to have Vonage or an Internet connection on their side. Of course, if they do have Vonage, your calls to them will be free Just $24.99 with no contract. Good deal. I believe this will be the next big thing.

The stock is going for $1.80 a share. Does anyone have any opinions about this company?

Vonage offers a good product, but its already faces a lot of competition.
All the cable companies and even AOL is even going to offer a VoIP product.

Man I was just thinking about that stock today, They are advertising like crazy, TV, WEBSITES, EMAILS ALL OVER MAN! they are goin psycho like they really hitting it big, and I know tons of people switching to it, and its a new technology, but like someone said they might do good for a while, cuz they early in the game, until competition kicks in, than profits will be lower and harder to attract customers

Funny. The CEO Jeff Citron used to be my boss. Back when he ran the only daytrading firm on the market. Knew him on a personal level too. He's a rich & smart guy.

They are, there's no investment option right now.

In my area, I can get VOIP from four different companies, including Vonage. More are on the way. Competition in this, as well as every other type of telecom is brutal.
