Got the 2004 family truckster in the shop getting 2k in repairs. New vans are expensive

My ally bank just increased their high yield savings account to 1.85%



But with inflation estimated at about 2% or so...I'm hoping to look at accounts that will generate close to 2% for savings: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/high-...avings-to-get/

I got about 6mo of emergency fund setup already, but yeah good to save/invest 20% or more if you can...

If you can deal with a fixed deposit term, a lot of CDs available through Charles Schwab are paying over 2%, and many of those CDs have 6 month maturity dates.
My guess is that other brokerages will have similar FDIC-insured CD offerings at 2%+.

Yeah most CDs now are at least 2%. Though I don't see 6mo maturity CD go that high....there are ones above 2.5 for like 9-13mo terms.
I'll have to look into those as well...
