How did your 401(k) do last quarter?

Yesterday I received the latest 401k statement... This is the third quarter I've participated in the program and had been pretty dissapointed in the past. First qtr I had a negative .02% rate. Second I had a positive .1%.
This quarter I got a positive 10% return rate!

So, is this something normal? Return rates so all over the place? I haven't changed the funds being invested in.

I’m 80% invested in High Risk so my percentages vary from -40% to +40%.
This last quarter was EXCELLENT. I saw some major gains, but not nearly enough to undo the damage that was done from 2001 through late 2003.

if you have a good fund and moderate risk your returns should have been good. 2003 was a good year for well rounded funds with smart fund managers. I sold everything off about a year and a half ago, what a freakin mistake, i took loses all around. By now i could have made everything back plus some. DAMN YOU MARKET

Me? Up 19.20% for the last quarter. Up 30.75% for 2003. Gain in the 4q was $19,303. But you gotta realize, I work 1) for a smokin company, and 2), i've been doing this for 15 years.
