GM Stock?

It's very close to its 52-week low....what do you guys think? Buy or no buy? I dont know why they're selling off their morgage part of GMAC becuase GMAC is where most of their income comes from.

In other news, I just bought 100 shars of Consolidated Edison (energy company in the NE). the 52 week high/low spread is only about $8. And it currently has a 5.45% dividend yield. Not too shabby

I'm sure you've heard the investing cliche, "don't try to catch a falling knife". There is a reason things become a cliche. The only times I've lost serious money investing is when I broke this rule. My advice, wait and let the dust settle.

Are you on crack?

GM common is a short. How long do you think they can sustain their dividend yield when cash flow turns negative?

It may be worth a momentum trade, but if you're going to play the long side, at least wait for a double bottom.

I wouldn't short it because I have to pay the dividend. The thing to do is buy puts if the price is reasonable.

Good find. I'm seriously interested in picking up 100 shares on monday. I just transferred the money and will continue critiquing this weekend.

Thanks for the heads-up.
