so, to the people who've gotten them, are you really going to use it and buy something? that is the real reason they're giving them out so that you can buy and spend and it will help the economy rebound.

I think I might be having to wait longer for mine even though I should (key word there) be getting mine on Friday. Parents were originally gonna claim me as a dependant, and realized they would've only gotten $18 for claiming, ($18!!! Man, I feel special!!) so I sent in an ammendment for my tax return and now I'm getting the stimulus check. I agreed to give my people $18 in return for their kindness. lol

Well I personally don't have any debt, so probably.

I'm thinking about putting it towards either

A) Hondata Reflash, or
B) Nikon D300

It's a tough decision....

Are they suppose to be different?

I thought it was 600 for single, and 1200 for married?

+300 for each kid, right?

EDIT: actually, depending on how much you made, you might actually get a lower amount.

Yup $300 a kid.

It's based on AGI, not how much you made.

I got three kids, a wife who doesn't work enough to make any real money, and a bunch of nice tax shelters.

$2100 for me

Still haven't received mine and I'm supposedly in the first batch of DD people.

Not really sure what I'm going to do with it. At first I wasn't going to spend it and stick it in savings...but I think it's about time to buy a box spring for my bed.

Hmm...

I'm in the 2nd group so hopefully next week I'll get in into my acct. I plan on using $300 towards gas. I'm going to buy a BJ's gift card and use it strictly for gas, and the other $300 for misc stuff and oh yeah.. mothers day gift.

It's based on your AGI or that of your household. It is for individuals under $75K per person or $150K per household.
