I have almost 20 CC as well but I don't take the churn approach.. I keep them if I can get at least the annual fee's worth of value per year or I cancel.

Yup. Same here, I keep it if the value I get from it is > the AF.

Only have probably 10 or so CC.

Quick update on my end: Just got approved for the Barclay Arrivals+ card, hopefully card gets here sooner than later (going on an inter-island trip on valentine's weekend so would love to put spend on that card to get started).

Bruh Rose Gold from the beginning here, it's a gorgeous card and I use it the most out of my Green/Platinum.. Join the club, the water's fine! I get a lot of gift cards (mainly Amazon) from Whole Foods to replenish my Amazon balance to get 4 MR on Amazon purchases, much better than the 5% cash back on the Amazon card

Just got a BJ's MC where at the pump it knocks down the price by $0.10/gallon which is as cheap as it gets plus 3% back for store purchases. Helps for my 25 mile commute on premium petro. 2% for all dining including fast food and non-BJs gas. Plus for sign up they gave me $40 in store credit.

1 Southwest point = roughly 1.4 cents

So 100,000 Southwest points = $1,400 for Southwest flights

https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/sou...EP100kPlus1021

- Earn 50,000 points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
- Earn an additional 50,000 points after you spend $12,000 on purchases in the first 12 months from account opening.
- Two Early Bird check-ins per year

Offer ends 12/7/2021.

$69 annual fee applied to your first billing statement.

If you get 125,000 Southwest points, you qualify for Southwest Companion Pass: https://www.southwest.com/rapidrewar...companion-pass

Companion Pass allows you to pick a companion to fly with you for free on every flight you’re on with no limit to how many times you can use it or how expensive the ticket is. You just pay the taxes for the flight which is just $5.60 for a flight within the U.S.

So realistic that SW CC = 100,000 pts (1,400 value) with 12k purchases... with $69 annual fee...

I mean if you are planning to spend $12k to earn points, there are better cards out there for it...

But i am actually looking into SW CC since i prefer to fly SW on domestic flights to fly smaller airports and i am planning to make a big purchase soon...

Any other good offers on CC now?

I think the only reason you would get the SW CC is if you want to take advantage of the Companion Pass and travel. As we head towards the tail end of the pandemic, it might make more sense.. Definitely not a good 'earning' card.

Still good if you do just the 50,000 points for $2,000 spend. That gets you a $700 Southwest ticket.

My home and car insurance will easily exceed that (both due in Jan). Is there any card that offers additional earnings for home and auto insurance?

Yah.. i am thinking either AA or united CC... since SW already offers free bags, It makes more sense to get a CC from another airline to take advantage of the perks..

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/amazon-stop-accepting-visa-credit-090449065.html

Amazon.com
Inc is considering dropping Visa as partner on its U.S. co-branded credit card after earlier confirming it would stop accepting Visa credit cards in the United Kingdom as a dispute over payments intensified.

The e-commerce giant is in talks with several payment networks including Mastercard Inc, American Express Co and Visa as part of what it called its standard process for reviewing its co-branded credit card agreement, a spokesperson said.

Visa declined to comment on the co-branded card. Mastercard and American Express did not respond to requests for comment.
