Which Black Card? The Amex Centurion Black Card is like a $2,500 annual fee...if not more at this point.
My buddy had one when for awhile he was making a few million on Wall Street.

The visa black card seems like a joke to me.
The Amex black card is like the Chuck Norris of cards.

So you were in the 2% of America that they offered this to also? ![Chuckle](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/chuckle.gif)
I got one of those pre-approvals last week. Looked cool until I read about the $495
annual fee and tore it up and chucked it into the trash.

What do you get from being a Black Card holder? Amex or Visa? I mean for a fee of 495 or 2,500, I better get free monthly waffles or blowjobs.

amex black gives you unlimited spending, however you must spend at least 1 million dollars over the course of the year and as well pay the 5000 dollar fee to activate and I believe a 2500 dollar fee each year.
The Perks:
The card is not plastic, made of titanium or something so it looks nicer
Free upgrades at any hotel, lounge, air-port, etc.
Easy access to tables at busy restaurants, etc due to the prestige of the card.
Concierges service to help you.
Gifts are handed out time to time.
Also something you can rap about in songs
As far as the Visa one, it's sort of a knock off of the amex one, but without all the prestige, perks, upgrades and easy access to things.

One on the right for me
I have two memories of the amex card - one being that it is much thicker than regular cards and get stuck in credit machines, so the person has to wind up using another card (that was funny to watch), as was the situation where the douche pulled out his card to impress the table only to be told that the restaurant didn't accept american express.

damn all the race card jokes... oh f it, I'll do it anyway
What do you lose all your credit, they take your car away, sell your house to the bank, take your kids and you get a life time supply of 40's and KFC?

And negative on the waffles and bj's, although there are some card benefits that could end up geting you those.

My first card, a Citibank card from about 30 years ago, charged an annual fee the first year (dad co-signed on it), then dropped/waived the fee thereafter. The thing is only a plastic card

Oh, I just got the bill for it yesterday- it has a $2.20 balance, for a couple of Redbox rentals.

One reason I didn't have an AMEX until a few years ago was that it charged an annual fee.

I got my second Visa Black Card invite last week. I have no intentions to ever pay for something like that... unless my company was willing to pay for the fee.
Just because you get the invite in the mail doesn't mean that you'll actually get approved for it. They claim its for 1% of America, but that's probably because only 1% of America is stupid enough to pay $500 a year for the card.
I'm starting to get quite sick of all the card offers. Ever since I got my corporate card a few months ago, my offers have gone from 5-7 a week to more than 10. That's a whole lotta trees (luckily I recycle the paper, for all you tree-huggers out there).

My Garage
My gf used to work at Orange County Choppers and she told me that someone came in with an Amex black card and told the owners to kick everyone else out of the store so he could shop on his own, and they complied.

All traditional Amex cards need to be paid in full at the end of the month. And trust me, if you are eligible for an Amex black, $2,500 a year is pocket change.
