Anil -
I plan to quit being lazy and tackle my plasti-dip mini-project this weekend before the weather gets shitty. Your wheels turned out great, and i wanted to ask you a few ? (or anyone who would have some input)
This is what I want to do to my grille:
However, the center "wing" if you will I will leave plastdipped black, but the chrome trim around it will be matched CGP. Ill leave the Acura logo chrome, I like that look. My question is, I've read about how to apply plastidip correctly, but any specific technique you used to get a good even coat and shine like on your wheels? Also, has anyone used paint over plastidip? Will it hold or am i better off getting the trim painted professionally? My plan is to take the grille apart, plastidip everything a black base, then paint CGP over what I want color-matched, and leave the center portion black. Any tips are appreciated - it's just a OEM grille and they are cheap, so if i F it up I can buy another, however I'd rather do it right the first time

I might be able to do them this weekend. I've done some searching and can't find anyone who had done this. Has anyone seen a thread of someone removing the wing spoiler and then installing it again? It appears to have an adhesive backing on the bottom but not sure how thick and if it is something that I can cut up a bunch of 3M tape to replicate. Dipping the trunk is a major pain with the spoiler on the car.

^^^ I did try to remove the wing spoiler when I had it....it does have some adhesive...when I got to that point, I backed off....
But from being on the forums, I know Jeremy (Rockstar) went back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with his wing spoiler....am pretty sure he did not add any adhesive and just bolted it back in....

Steven, start counting
Brandon, just light coats is how you do it...I can help you, but I repeat, am not that good with rattle cans....I would do the full grille black, leave the center bar CGP and leave the emblem chrome....OR....leave everything as is, just PD the emblem...

Car is basically done but need some advice one how to finish up two items. First of all the car is now Anthracite Grey and the roof is Black (plastidipped) with all of it having a gloss finish. The side mirrors (and the mounts to the body) are not dipped so are stock black (NBP).
I have two items left to dip (both will be glossed):
Wing bar on grill: Should I go Black or Anthracite Grey? I'll still put the Blaze Blue accent on the indents (possibly with a small line of Grey in it) and the A logo will have the circle part Blaze Blue.
Rear Wing Spoiler: Should I go Black or Anthracite Grey? I'll probably have a Blaze Blue pinstripe around the edge of it with either color. Keep in mind the license plate trim and the bump on the rear aspec kit bumper is Blaze Blue against the Anthracite Grey.
No pics yet, sorry. I want it complete first. If you have to see it I'm working from home today so come on over.
Anil, I should be able to do your rims tonight.

I would leave the wing the same color as the trunk...
if the roof is black PD, I would finish the side rear view mirrors in black PD and not NBP
I would do the grille black PD with the A in blue...
