Was coming home from RenFest on Sunday and I lost all power and threw a CEL. I limped all the way home. Engine code was P2138 which is the APP sensor (37971-RBB-003) and is a pretty common thing to go out. Hendrick Acura had them in stock so I picked one up and replaced it today. It's a pretty quick (yet not cheap) job. Also saw the cable from the pedal to the sensor had gotten really stretched so I adjusted it to close to the max possible and got the proper tension back. Now I have better pedal/throttle response too! I'll need to replace the cable the next time it gets stretched.

Was scary when it happened at first as I lost all gears but one and couldn't even sport shift. Thought it was the transmission at first as we thought we smelled something sweet burning but the fluid was still good. Very glad it was just a sensor.

Hey Swoosh what is going on. Have you started the new intake. I am anxious to know. Keep me posted remember what we talked about. There are a couple of events this weekend in MN. I might be going to Rochester on Sunday Travis wants some of us to go and represent Acura with him. I think will have to go see the Hooters by his house. Thats if Wife lets him.

Man you NSX, looks clean! Would def like to see it in person if you are in KS sometime!

Guys, a quick question, does anyone of you have spacers on your TL? I am thinking about getting some for my car but not exactly sure if I should go 15mm or 20mm. What do you guys think? Did you guys have to roll fenders to avoid any rubbing? Thanks guys.

15mm and 20mm is fine with no rolling required unless you are slammed. Steven has that setup on his car with springs.

Ichiba has 15&20mm spacers with integrated studs so you won't have to press out your old ones for longer studs. Just make sure you have space behind the wheels because your existing studs will poke through a bit. Most aftermarket wheels have this space.

^^^ Abdul....15/20mm is the usual....

what I suggest doing is take a measuring tape to your car and see how far your tire can stick out....depending on the camber/toe you are running you will be able to see if 15/20 will be fine or 20/25 will be better....

then you need to make a decision on if you want to install extended lugs and Type 1 spacer or just get the Type 2 spacers....

PS: if you in doubt on how to measure, swing by....

Installed ISC N1 suspension on Chris (twiggilus) car on Saturday....did it go well or what....we started at 830 in the morning, done by noon....including 30 minutes of breakfast in there....I had asked him to spray PB Blaster on all the bolts before he drove in from STL on Friday and all the bolts popped off without an issue....

yup....he lived in Arizona for most of the time, so rust was very low and he spray all the bolts very very well (including the sway bar bolts)....

B, did you end up dropping the ride height a tad bit more?

Glad it worked out for him and he didn't have to have a sawzall taken to some of his bolts haha.

I did wind up putting it lower - I'm not slammed but have a solid 1-1.5 finger gap all around. I think with my wheels it looks really good, however I am contemplating going with a more aggressive-looking set of wheels, and a a-spec front lip. But that's future plan for now.

And how bout that KC Azine fall gathering?!

So call me crazy but I think I might try some Audi rs4 wheels on my car, I just wish I knew if they would clear my calipers or not. Hard to say with the offset they have. I understand they are 5x112 but might try wobble bolts.

Thanks again, Anil... The install did go pretty swimmingly. lol... I'm going to have to adjust the preload to make the front go about 1/4" lower. The fronts are laid out as much as they will go at the moment with the preload at 175mm. The rears have settled a bit and now from top of fender to top of wheel I have maybe 1/2"... Shit is low. I'll have to measure ground to fender.

I don't understand why the preload in the rear looks so much different than the front. It's almost like the front Springs ate too long or the rears are too short.? I've also done a lot of reading over the past few days and almost all of what I've read suggests that preload on a "sedan" should be set at ZERO as a good starting point. So why 5mm with the ISC? HMMMMM.....

Other than that it rides great.

I would bring the front's down by 5mm-10mm....this will even your ride out and lower the front to almost match the rears....
