A full valve-train + head work will more than likely require EMS. And you wont get the most out of that work until you either raise compression (NA) or lower compression (boost), both requiring EMS...
And while discussing spending, you should track down a 6sp , that with a good LSD will trumph any mild head work done.

^^^ I would like to break the 350whp mark while staying NA...might not happen but thats the magic number for me
Am getting the heads done, raising the CR to 12:1 (just 2 points, each point is 0.5)....port and polish job, I already got the Type S cams (thinking of a Bisi stage 1 regrind on those)....changing the heads to J32A2 since it had dedicated exhaust headers....
am confused on cams since this is my DD, I dont want to go tooo aggressive on the cam profile at the same time, dont want to raise the CR tooo much since I run 91 gas....dont want to have to run 93/109....wish e85 was more readily available
finally, I do have MS3 sitting....am trying to tune it but its a pain in the butt....has a gazillion options....

350 NA would take a LOT of work to say the least.... 12-12.5 is about your limit with 91octane.

^^^ yeah he is using a J32A3 bottom end and heads....am trying to see if I can bolt on the J32A2 heads on my J32A3 bottom...

It also has DOHC which the J series does not have. However if J35Z2 heads could be installed you would get i-VTEC and gain a few hp... Or you could just start out with a J37A4 thats in the newer TL's since it has more displacement, higher compression (11.3:1), and VTEC on both intake/exhaust. Not to mention the engine is lighter overall due to aluminum cylinder liners.
Oh btw I talked to SoS and that is a $25,000 motor

Erica never complained either...
but that's neither here nor there.
I'm kinda mopin around. Trying to finish out my stupid degree.
This happened tho
The roof looks like crinkeld aluminium foil. Estimated $6k on repair. I'm out of the game for 3 weeks at the most so I don't think I'll be able to come to the Azine meet.

Erica comments always make me 'lol'
I was about two days away from buying my ronjon aero kit then this shit happened. I'm covered but my deductible was $500 and a new clutch for my saturn ran me $900.
My "fun stuff" budget is in the red for now
I hoping that there's enough damage for a repaint. I would be so happy

I was prepared to make some adjustments and do some cutting to make it fit. But I called Jay Wolfe and they said the Ronjon kits are made for the 07-08 TLs and the 04-06s.
I was thinking of doing a RJ front bumper with the Type-S side/rear. I just wanted something different from all the A-SPEC TLs rolling around in Wichita.

That hail damage looks bad. Sorry to hear about that.
A friend of mine is interested in a TL
Here's the rundown on it:

6MT/Original Clutch
Clean title
original window sales sticker
All original
13,000 firm. What's the verdict?

That nose will look out of place if you are not slammed on some very nice wheels. Personally I don't dig it, I used to but not anymore. And IDK what Jay Wolfe is talking about, I'm pretty sure I remember reading from the guy at RonJon that the kit is discontinued.
Go for it

I still love the RonJon grills. It does need a drop to complete the look.
Matt, the 3G will not fit a Type S (I've heard). I looked at getting one when I first got my car.

So this last weekend, while I was out, someone put something on the hood of my car while it was parked in the parking lot and now it's all scratched up from one side! I am going to try to fix it sometime this week, just hoping it works, so that it at least looks decent for the meet.
