I just found out that the Army is moving me out to Camp Atterbury this summer (July 1st). I'm wondering what the car scene is in the Indianapolis area too, because we're going to look at some houses on the south-side since it seems that it could be 18-25 miles from post.
I've got a modded Prelude (5th Gen) that I'd probably take to get-togethers, but I also have done more than a few things to my 4G TL. I'm definitely looking to get back into the land of 93 octane and not running my N/A car at 6k feet of altitude! haha. It'll probably feel ridiculously fast.

Just moved to Indianapolis myself from Bloomington, and was out to lunch with some coworkers downtown last week and drove by someone in a white TL with an acurazine sticker on the side.
Checking in here as an Indy member! If anyone sees me I'm in a black 2nd gen TSX with dark grey rims, dipped emblems and grille, and tinted tails.

I've seen the white TL with the stickers on it a few times. Never met the person driving it tho. I've only seen two modded TL's, one not so great and the other a very nicely put together black TL on gold works at Castleton Mall.
I've heard there is an Asian girl with that modded TL with a carbon fiber hood in the Noblesville area....haven't seen it yet.

Just bought my NBP 04 MT TL after looking for a month. I'm in the Plainfield area and feel like I'm always spotting TL's on the road now that I have one. 116k miles and counting. Cosmetically it is a little beat up but it runs smooth.
After picking it up I'm always on the lookout for other TL's. I saw a black by the state fair a few weeks back, it had brembos so I'm assuming it was a 6 speed. The windows were completely tinted and it had a butler plate on it. I drove side by side with him before I had to get on meridian to head home. I've also seen a black Type S in Plainfield as well.
I'm going to try to tackle the timing belt here soon. If anyone wants to help out I'll supply the beer

Guess I never checked in here a few years back when I bought my TL. 03 Nighthawk Black Pearl with tinted tails. Done a few things here and there and have even more plans for the future. Right now though I'm looking at a tranny swap since mine finally gave out after 270K miles. I'm thinking an Oddy tranny would be fun to swap in 
. Anyone that's in the area with any experience with the swap is welcome to help out if you like to tinker. Hoping to see the TL scene get bigger out here! I'm from Plainfield and now live in Eagle Creek. I work up in Carmel and keep seeing this 08 White TL Type S that I'm pretty sure is a manual but I never get a good look at it. What an awesome car though.There's another car buyer I saw recently that had a 94 NSX with only 40K on her. We all need to get together soon.

Yea, I stay in Fishers too. I saw a modded Silver TL in the Noblesville Wal-Mart parking lot from a distance....I went to the Taco Bell and came back it was gone.....could have been the elusive Asian girl, but who knows....looked pretty sick from a distance tho.

Ok, cool that you guys like stalking Asian girls around Indy... But can someone refer me to a good independent shop in Indy? There's thousands of TLs in Indy, not everyone is going to be on the message boards.

Sorry...I don't stalk anyone. I just knew the TL he was talking about as the guy is on my other local web site and facebook page.
So far as independent shops....kinda depends on what your looking to have done. But ya...there is some still around and definitely some guys that know Honda....hell we have Gabe here beating a GT-R in his Honda...lol...both locals.

Auto Tint Express in Whiteland has done two vehicles for us (front windows). He's fairly priced, does excellent work (and is very particular about his work) and gives warranties. He'll charge $80 for tint below 35% (front windows), $95 for the same in metallic tint and $120 for ceramic tint. I don't know his prices for all three of those if you get 35% or lighter. I know you're in Fishers, but you could drive here, drop off your car and go across the street to a Mexican or Chinese place or even get your hair cut at a barber behind his building (which he has coupons to that he'll hand out). Since he's a veteran and I'm a veteran, he actually gave me a discount in the form that he upgraded my metallic tint to ceramic while only charging me metallic prices. Very cool.

Im in castleton/fishers or NE side of Indy... Ive seen only a couple of 3G TL's around and one aspec version lowered with rims and exhaust and of course michael benz old tl not sure if either of them are members.
I came from the pontiac grand prix family and there are tons of local members... now i feel all alone haha
