Morgan the drive isn't bad. The only part that sucked was getting into St. Louis at rush hour

Kentucky is boring as fuck, everyone was going 5 under the speed limit and I was flying past them.

I won't be leaving ATL until after work on Friday and I doubt I'll make it in time for the dinner on Saturday. I'm going to call in sick on Monday. I need to make hotel reservations.

I already took off June 7-12

Im sure I can knock that 18hr drive down to ~16hrs, unless I hit tons of traffic Google tends to use the speed limits. For the drive I do up to NY, it says its 7hrs 15 mins. I typically do it in 5.5hrs. My best time so far was 5hrs 23mins (yes Im a nerd and keep track of these things).

Tyler, what time did you leave last year? Im thinking about hitting the road around 6am EST. That puts me in STL around 6-7pm CST.

How bad is STL rush hour? Does it usually die down around 6pm?

I couldn't sleep the night before so I was on the road around 3-3:30

We got in St. Louis at 5:30 and it sucked. Going into the city was fine but as soon as we got through it, everyone else was leaving, so we were creeping along at 5mph for a few miles.

Our GPS put it at 18.5 hours with no stops. We stopped for an extended breakfast, lunch, and multiple fill ups and we got there in under 18 hours.

Cool. I plan on packing snacks and really only stopping for one meal. Thats usually how I do long drives though

Ill probably pick up one of those suction cup mounts for my phone so I can run navi w/ traffic the entire time just to keep tabs on it.

Morgan you should be fine traffic wise in STL. It will slow down a bit cause STL cops are gay and sit around during rush hour a lot. Once you get clear it's smooth sailing across the state. Watch out in Columbia though it drops from 70 to 60 and the state police love to sit around in that zone.

sounds like a lot of you are going through St. Louis to get to KC. I already talked to some of the guys in Chicago about cruising from STL to KC on friday to get there in time for all of the festivities and still give us time to rest up and take care of hotel and what not. Its a straight shot on HWY 70 to get there from STL, so anyone else want to join in on the cruise from STL? I can give you my number and when you get into town we can meet off the highway or even come to my house for a break or stretch if you wish. something like that, that's what i'm going to do with some of the chi-town guys. Figured i would extend the offer to others. I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some good rollin' pics of each other and enjoy the ride a bit more. what do you guys think?

Other than that you can do right under 80 and they won't touch you as long as you stick to your speed. I've passed cops shooting radar before while passing someone else and as long as you don't freak the hell out and slap on the brakes most of them won't touch you if you're doing like 78.

Hey Guys,

I haven't posted in forever. Too busy with emblems. Amp'd girl Katie (from last year at this meet) might be coming out again.

Free merchandise like last year too is possible. Still waiting to see what kind of numbers for participation we get. What is the latest on the numbers attending?

Interest? Speak up and let me know.

Thanks,

Ampd

^ Good to hear Amp'd! Liked the pics of your products at last year's meet. Never seen the emblems in person...at least not yet. I sure wouldn't mind to have a few pics of Katie with my car either!

Not sure what the updated count of cars is looking like...anybody want to chime in on that?

Anyone bring pets with them last year? I'm wondering if the hotel allows pets as the gf and I are thinking about bringing her dog along, which will be a first since I don't allow foods, drinks, or pets in my car lol.

Morgan, Brian, we will definitely have to do a shoot with our CL's either Saturday or Sunday. I am not letting an opportunity like this slip away! I think this will be the only time I might ever get to have a CL other than my own on the other end of my lens!

You talking about the free-loaders that walked off the road? Those people were annoying! What was funny though was when the parrot was pecking at the dudes head! Felt sorry for the little girl though...

Guys, speaking of free food, please note that food will be available for purchase this year from the Overland Park Convention Center. It will not be free. They will not let us cook on their premises.

Next year, when we get back to Jay Wolfe Acura, we can cook out and provide everyone with free food (since we will be on Jay Wolfe's lot).

I have also just been informed by Acurazine that we will not have stickers available this year. Since they are now for purchase in the Acurazine store, you may purchase them through the store.

Sorry.......

So no food, no stickers, no dealership? Not to sound ungrateful but what exactly is Jay Wolfe going to be providing us this year? Sounds to me like there needs to be a mini meet at Hooters afterwards so we can get our grub on.
