Hey guys, hope everyone is excited for this weekend.

Jim at Jay Wolfe and I have been discussion the judging so we can try to make it go more efficiently this year. I have elected to withdraw my car from any competitions (planned on it anyway since I've helped out with the meet each year). Also as they are short on judges I am planning on being one of the judges if that is ok with everyone

what about if you installed the part for the previous owner, at the shop you work at, cause it would be a shop install, but at the same time a self install cause you did it, just not for yourself though at the time???

also what happens if you bought the car with the part already installed on it, and you don't know if a shop installed it or the owner did it themselves

then another one is what do you put for say like redoing the radio yourself that was originally a shop install, cause you wanted the wiring routed differently while at the same time hacking out like 6 feet of unnecessary wiring (and after you turn the radio back on it is actually louder)(and yes that 6 feet is realistic, that is how much i cut out of mine [and measured with a tape measure], ran it down the center console to the module/unit under the passenger seat, compared to going around the passenger footwell

i know it won't matter exactly to me, since i am not able to actually make it anymore , but if like i come to future ones

Self Install vs Dealer Install

These significations are mostly an FYI so other people know and don't ask you questions that you would not know. Like how hard was the install when you weren't the one that did it. The SI/DI is not taken into account during judging.

SI - You did the work and where it was done doesn't matter
DI - You had an actual business do the work for you.

As far as special scenarios, you can do something like this:
Stereo (DI then SI fixed)

Or in the case of Steven's (and Dizlaosboisofly and Swoosh's) car you should see few saying something like this:
XXX item (SI by Buda)

Ok, shameless plug on that last part but it is true. (Especially Steven's car)

SATURDAY NIGHT CRUISE AND NIGHT-OUT

I don't use MapQuest very often because I have Nav in my Type S. But I will bring copies of this map along with the directions Saturday night for everyone.

We will meet at the Berbiglia Liquor Store (directly acorss the street from Jay Wolfe Acura) at 6:30PM on Saturday, June 5th. By the time everyone arrives, I thought we would leave as soon as possible and cruise through Kansas City. This is a beautiful route, which takes us down a beautiful parkway (Ward Parkway), throught the ritsy shopping district (the Coutry Club Plaza) it will take us down to the Power & Light District/Sprint Center in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Once we park, we will meet up outside the Sprint Center/College Basketball Experience. At that point, we will walk across the street to the Power & Light District for dinner, drinking and an overall great time!

The P&L District has multiple restaurants and bars. Plus a HUGE open stage area for bands, etc. If there is no band playing, they always have a DJ blasting out tunes. This is an enormous open area where everyone can dance, mingle and party. It's always a great time and a terrific party!

I am in Kansas City already! Got here yesterday at about 5pm, settled in & went out for dinner downtown at Manny's. The guy at the front desk at the hotel says there are allot of reservations so hopefully the meet has a great turnout.

Where is the closest touchless car wash to my hotel...the Wyndham Garden?

There might be one on the Missouri side around Holmes or up state line road. Might have to head out to the burbs, I thought there might be one like around 129th and state or Holmes. Car show in Lee's Summit today I know there are a few out there.

There is a nice car wash across from the Overland Park Athletic Club by 104th & Metcalf (one minute away from the hotel). Just turn left (west) at the Denny's. Then at the "T" in the road, turn right and the car wash is there on the right hand side of the street. I've very nice...
