xlr8 ? ticket ?

hi everyone, I'm thinking about this catback, but I'm worry it's too loud for this area, as you all know ff county cops are very straight with exhaust. so what do you guys think? I don't have a j pipe or any other mod other than the Cai
thank you

Depends. I would personally do the HFC/Jpipe before the catback.

I run a straight 2.5 exhaust on mine and haven't got into trouble yet. I only got pulled one time when I had my Apexi WS2s about 2 years ago.

i started a thread similar to this:
https://acurazine.com/forums/mid-atlantic-311/va-drivers-your-aftermarket-exhaust-809579/

certainly, it's up to you. i have not installed a catback. part of it is the tix thing, the other part is the round tip and square hole thing i'm not fond of, in addition to the cost per horsie. that's a lot of money for noise and very little performance return.

i think it also depends where you drive in ff county. hell they'll tix you for tint that is too dark if it just happens to be "tix for tint day". i agree with jcharged, if you are looking for performance then i'd go for HFPC/j-pipe for the money. the issue here would be passing emissions (the visual-if they do one).

JCharged: I thought about that too, but I found a used one with a very good price, that's why I was thinking about getting it. maybe I will do some more homework on the J pipe.
TLtrigirl: I read your thread before and totally forgot about it, thanks for reminding me, I read that again and it really helped me to make up my mind " saved me some bread" maybe instead of catback, I will do a stage 3 that's a lot cheaper.

Go with tanabe from excelerate. It has 92b noise and sou r like a roaring g35 and better. Plus no worries from the cop and and live in NJ. They hate that bully. And as far as gain make sure get the underdrive pulley too and ill guarantee you. Your car will gain a lot, you might as wheel get a new brake lol..goodluck

For the gains, the PCD/Jpipe are my favorite mods. The UDP is the best bang for buck and is very cheap to do.

If you are not wanting to touch the exhaust side of things yet, I would suggest looking into the 3.7 shawd intake manifold and the zdx throttle body, port and polish the runners and tie it together with a custom 4 inch intake. That would give you a huge start on bolt-ons.

Check out the performance section on the 3g side. Even venture out to another forum v6 p.net. There's a lot of information out there if you are looking for power.

PCDs =CEL HFPC maynot set off the CEL. j-pipe with 3rd cat delete will not set off CEL due to the 3rd cat not having a sensor.

there is a meet and greet cruise this weekend...though the forecast doesn't look that great.

You will not get the CEL if you get the defoulers which are provided when you order the PCDs.

I work right off 606. I've recruited many Azine members here. You should see me around...although my car isn't as nice because I drive a 2g I still hang out with the 3g guys.

Got the stage 3 done, it's awesome. I am very happy with that, no wonder so many people do that. I think this is the best thing I've done for this car so far.

I'm in the market for the PCD now, is the defoulers the L shape pipe for you to install the 02 sensor?
Thanks a lot
