Tint Shops in Maryland
Tint Shops in Maryland
Good afternoon great people. Can anyone recommend a good to great tint shop close to central Maryland. I live in Columbia where there are a few shops, but I don't know how satisfied their customers are. Any info would be great.
What type of tint are you looking for. I went to this shop in Columbia, MD to get my huper optik film. So far no pealing at all.

stay away from dyed and metallic tint. dyed will purple. metallic may interfere with electronics.
ceramic is the most expensive and has the greatest heat rejection properties (which is not necessarily vital in our area, if you live in FL, TX or SW states...then ceramic would be your best bet).
mid line tint will be either a hybrid based tint or carbon based tint. a high quality tint will not fade or purple. the bubbles occur from the installer. most tint places in our area dont' even offer the cheap dyed tint (unless you go to a shop thatsays they install tint for $100...start asking type and brand of tint). they usually start with a mid grade tint that is nonmetallic in nature and the next higher up would be a ceramic based tint.
call some shops in your area, find out what products they use. research the products (manufacturer's website, reviews (here and other places)), reviews of the shop, then decide what best meets your needs.
huper optik, 3M, madico, suntek, solargard....are some of the commonly used tint brands.
