I didn't even see this thread until now. you guys gotta plan a little further in advance to get more people in on a meet.

But im thinking if we wanted to make this a bigger event for early spring we can have the meet at the Pagoda. Just cause its unique enough to bring everyone out here. To rival the westcoast meets

Its in Reading, PA. It used to be a hot spot for VW meets in the late 90s. The place overlooks all of Reading and looks very beautiful. I can see this having a large turn out because basically I think its a great place for a meet. After we can cruise somewhere for food or something that is unique to this area.

I want to go check it out again to see how much parking it can support but I believe it should be able to hold a substantial amount. There is a straight road that goes from the pagoda and runs along the hill/mountain that its on and it goes for like miles

Also coming up it, is a super twisty road that is just awesome. They actually have hill climbing races on them. http://www.pahillclimb.org/Courses/Reading.htm

i say lets get as many members as we can and have a meet this saturday or next saturday.

 

thot it was someone like ur avatar, CL with chrome rims. i was doing 75 and went pass him and then he followed after me. then i went to 110 and he was still behind me. i slowed down to 80 and we were side by side. weird, maybe hes someone on this forum.

i should be free NEXT saturday, this week is packed with turkeys. lets do what you said tho, gather as many as we can. i can PM a few people to sign up to this date.

 

Im down for a meet. Just super busy schedule with finals in two weeks and im working part time. As soon as schools over (12/11) itll be alot more open.

Where are you guys doing this. I thought I saw KOP mentioned, that would be easy to get to for me.

If this somehow doesnt work out till 12/19 im definately in. Ill have my new suspension in and most likely my new wheels too, so I wont be in all my stock, 4x4 glory. Gives me time to call off work too.

 

If I was not going to the Cars & Coffee meet in Charlotte, NC next Saturday, I would be there.

 

where in KOP would we meet up tho? at the mall?

Yeah.. No one can agree on a place or people are just busy.

 

set up a time about a month or 2 from now, giving people plenty of time to put it in their schedules or make time for it.

I'm from media, pa (zip 19063) and there are a good amount of meets here. Tristatetuners.com has a good amount of local meets but there a ton of subies. More acura people would be great!

Or we could have an acura exclusive only meet!

 

The Navy Yard is open to the public now.... just tell the guard your going to a meet..... the guards let everryone in as it now public streets... there just there for show...

The WAWa gas station on Grant Ave near the Blvd... the outer edge is huge and there is a huge open area in the side...Show off the cars to the public while talking shop....

I like the Navy yard idea. There are a ton of vacant lots that you can go to as they're still under construction and whatnot.

I think we're still trying to figure out logistics at this moment apolon21, but I wouldn't mind setting one up - I've been on many car forums and have headed national and regional meets before, so a local one is cakewalk to me.
