i'm not sure man. wherever. possibly meet up at some park and meet and greet and even bbq there. i think that if we did that, a lot of people would be down to chill, talk, etc. especially if there's food. LOL

Get the best of all worlds in a single day. We could stop for lunch/dinner down south of Dam Neck road and then continue driving south after. Just an idea I've been toying with for awhile. that sounds good. but i'm sure we'll get more ideas. i like going on the ferry cruise. Adrian's been on it once or twice. it's not bad of a cruise. it takes out to the back roads of suffolk to the ferry and it takes you to yorktown pretty much. if my memory serves right, it should be like, 3 minutes away from yorktown beach.

another could be meet up at a park in pungo (i'm not sure of the name but i've been tehre once or twice) and then do the cook out there and then go for a cruise somewhere. maybe even head to harbor park soem some sunset shots or something. idk.

but in all seriousness. i think we're long over due for this. a lot of people/cars nowadays just come out to the nightly/weekend meets and just do runs. what ever happened to the cruises, meet and greets and bbqs? i miss those lol i'll be down for a cruise wherever. it shall be dope! we should def set one up!

I might be down to head to VB to meet you guys. I would have to know the specific date, so I can take off of work that day.

Awesome! Hit 'em up!

So let's get a general consensus about the dates and who can make what. I know not everyone can be available at one time but we'll try to go for the most convenient date/time to get as many as possible (even though it'll likely only be three or four of us but of course I'm hoping for more)

What I have in mind right now is Saturday, May 11 or the following Saturday on the 18th. I'd like to hear some opinions from all of you on what time of the day you'd like to do this. I prefer mid-late afternoon 6-7pm. We'll finish when we're done racing around like a bunch of hooligans. I'd also like to see about having everyone caravan up to the weekend meet up on Independence Blvd north of Honeygrove. I'm sure some of you know about that spot. Saturdays can be pretty interesting up there and it is becoming quite the happening spot. Of course, when you become tired of the immature retards that will plague the area, you are welcome to take your leave.

We'll start a list. Put your name and preferred date/time. Rain date will be the following Saturday!

1. Tannis - 11 May/7pm
2.

Goes pretty late. Midnight I think is when the cops start ushering people out though I haven't been there that late since last summer. There will be cops but they just hang out to keep order and make sure no one does anything stupid. Otherwise they are completely cool with it.

The drive down to the border takes about 25 minutes. I can do that run from my house in just over an hour. Combine that with the drive down Shore along the beach and then down to Pungo and back up to the meet... just under 2 hours. I imagine we'll stop somewhere in between for coffee. Oh! Let's do that. There is a Starbucks just south of 264 on Independence. It'll be on the way up to the meet. Then you can meet the selfish FRS owner that refuses to hang out with us.

Sweetness. Yeah I know you gotta drive home. Only thing that sucks about driving and hour and a half for a meet/cruise. But it'd be awesome to kick it with ya! Hell, even if weather isn't the most ideal we can always just raise hell around town and do pictures at... Starbucks. lol!

Who ever said this would be the only one?!

This will be kind of a warm-up, so-to-speak. Need to get people involved and moving and get everyone talking to eachother.

And I'm guessing you can't give a time when you'll be home. Instead, just put a preferred date/time on the list for when you will be available so we know when to plan for the next meet.

Also talked to Adrian at the shop in Oceana today. He said he's always down for it. But I won't say anymore. Don't wanna steal his thunder.

i get back sometime in the first week of july. that's all i can say for right now even though i know the exact date. lol but i was talking with a buddy of mine with an 8th gen, and we were talking about throwing a big acura/accord type meet. like, what we stated above; bbq, meet and greet and just a big get together. ther'es not a lot of meets for accords or acura's for that matter so we talked about trying to get one togther. i know there's the great falls meet in january, but usually people don't come out or are still in "winter mode" so yeah. maybe we can have a bigger meet and more people can come out. he'll get a bunch of the 8th gen accords around here and i'm sure a lot of the TL guys will come out. i think we should make this big!

Well, I no longer drive a Honda so uhhh, I'll be the party crasher.

We'll have to scope out some venues. Hell, might even be able to make a real honest meet out of this. I'm gonna do some digging.

We'll do as many cruises as you wish. Just get home safe. Hell, Connor and I went for a drive last night around 10pm. All the way down to the Currituck Ferry. Think I spelled that right. Whatever.

Oh! If anyone wants to buy my old TSX, Hall Nissan just put a picture of it up on a banner ad on this site. Has a blacked out grille. Kinda funny to see. Thanks for pointing that out Connor!

yeah. i think i've been to that one. at least, i think? that's the one by NC border right? should do the one by yorktown. it's a nice cruise through the back roads and pretty much is a alternative way to get to newport news/yorktown. but i doubt i can fit on it anymore. i'm too low. haha.

I understand that completely.

But now that we have a decent list going for something unofficial and impromptu, I'd still like to keep the floor open for ideas on what we can do. Like i said in a previous post about that drive, while it is an ok drive and you can hit some serious curves, there is a lot of residential areas and cops and if one asshole gets in front of us it'll be more like a long, boring commute rather than a fun drive. Hell, we could take a nice little cruise around town centre to shore and down to the beach to stop and take some pictures or something. Like I said before, the floor is still open and times can be pushed, preferably to the left a bit if sunlight is what we want. We'll form up a nice plan and official time by May 5th. PM me with any ideas!!!

Ok peeps, yes I said peeps, deal with it. I am posting an Official thread for this meet and hopefully I can get a couple 370 guys from the370z.com to join. The hours look like they will shift to the left only an hour or so... maybe. The whats and wheres are shifting only slightly but all still down here at the beach. Please, once this is up, post a new list only for attendance. Dates/times not required since I think we have that nailed down pretty well thus far. Thanks!

Would love to do the meet, not sure about the timing though. Casie is getting her masters that weekend so i'm kinda busy.

TL update,

Very Dirty
Tensioner fixed
UCA is toast on the drivers side
lower ball joints on the way out
front and side motor mount are also failing.

So how's everyone else?

Welcome! Ill let the 3G guys take the lead on telling you what to look for.

Justin, that sucks that you have to replace those parts. But great news!! Theyre not difficult to replace. I'm going to have tons of free time, so if you need assistance replacing them Ill be happy to help.

Replace your 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches while you're getting your trans fluid done. Look for cracks on the dashboard as well as heavy wear on the seats. The silver trim pieces running on either side of the center console tend to get pretty banged up as well.

Good luck!
