Alignment at Karen Radley Acura
I wanted to share with Acurazine an excellent dealer service experience I had at Karen Radley Acura in Woodbridge, VA.
After installing an A-spec suspension on my TL I went to Radley for a 4 wheel alignment, their alignment bay was highly recommended. Even though I would have to pay dealer prices I decided to give them a try. Well, they did the best they could bringing every adjustment to the center of its range except the rear camber.
Go figure, I needed a camber kit.
So I had Tire Rack ship an SPC kit to the service department and scheduled an appointment when it arrived.
Their alignment tech Doug is first rate, I told him I was an Acura enthusiast and very particular and he went to work. Now, due to the new camber kit, every parameter is in dead center trim. They installed the kit, did the alignment and only charged for 1 hour of labor; the 2nd alignment was on them.
A very professional group of guys!

I am lowered by a bit more than 1/2" but yea, I was surprised that I needed a kit too. I was hoping that by staying "in the family" I could avoid the extra expense. But I am particular, and the camber was out especially on the right side, so I went ahead and installed the SPC kit.
Anyway, the car tracks great and handles like it's on rails.

1/2" drop definitely shouldn't have required a camber kit.

I opted for the camber kit because as I previously posted I'm somewhat particular and the right camber remained pretty far out in the red after being aligned. I am very pleased with the result as the adjustments are now very close to dead center of their ranges.
Factory Alignment Specs:
Left Camber = -0.30 / -1.30
Right Camber = -1.30 / -0.30
Right Toe = 0.05 / -0.05
Left Toe = -0.05 / 0.05
Total Toe = -0.09 / 0.09
After 1st alignment:
Left Camber = -1.27 (0.97 off of center)
Right Camber = -1.51 (1.21 off of center)
Right Toe = -0.01
Left Toe = 0.02
Total Toe = 0.01
After 2nd alignment with Camber Kit:
Left Camber = -0.58 (0.02 off of center)
Right Camber = -1.03 (0.03 off of center)
Right Toe = -0.00
Left Toe = 0.00
Total Toe = -0.01 (0.01 off of center)
